Eight days into the second Trump Administration. No real surprises. Trump is doing everything he said he was going to do and more. At the end of the day, whatever he has done so far has had no effect on my life, yet. This may change. To be honest, I am not concerned about it at the present moment. I don't plan on calling Trump out on things I don't agree with. The Biden Administration pushed the political pendulum so far left we ended up far right. This DEI freak show had to come to an end. This open border policy letting the scum of the Earth walk into this country and start getting cars, housing, and food paid at tax payer expense had to come to an end. Getting the government debt under control before it bankrupts the country had to be dealt with. I cannot agree with everything that is going down, but this is the price we are paying for letting things get so far out of control. The blame is not Trump's alone.

That was some day we had yesterday. On the way out the door, Biden gave a blanket pardon to his entire family for any crimes they may have commited since the day they were born. a.k.a. a pre-emptive pardon.

Biden also pardoned former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley; Dr. Anthony Fauci; members and staffers of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol; and Capitol and Washington police officers who testified before the committee.

The panel's members were Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who was then a House member; former Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., Elaine Luria, D-Va., and Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla.; and current Reps. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif., Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., Jamie Raskin, D-Md., and Bennie Thompson, D-Miss.

The police officers who testified before the committee included Harry Dunn, Aquilino Gonell, Michael Fanone and Daniel Hodges.

The new sitting President, Donald J. Trump, did not waste time and jumped right onto the bandwagon,

President Donald Trump on Monday pardoned people charged in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, and commuted the sentences of leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.

"These are the hostages," Trump said from the Oval Office, referring to the convicted and charged defendants. "Approximately 1,500 for a pardon - full pardon."

I don't believe Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley, or any members of the January 6th Investigation Committee broke laws in any way, shape, or form. Fauci on the other hand is as dirty as they come. He was directly involved with the lab in Hunan and the research they were doing. He lied about it to Congress. He knew this virus escaped from the lab, or was released from it on purpose. We will never know the real truth. We know the scientists were engaged in gene splicing. They took parts of the SARS virus, parts of the AIDS virus, and parts of the Corona virus and created COVID-19. Fauci should be in prison but he got away with it thanks to Papa Joe Biden.

Biden is burying the past. Trump is rewriting it. Quite the spectacle.
Speaking of spectacles, there was this.

I thought this to be an appropriate picture to post given a new president is being sworn in today.

Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States this coming Monday.

I was reading some quotes by S.I. Hayakawa. He was a scholar, university president, and U.S. senator from California (1977–83). He is best known for his popular writings on semantics and for his career as president of San Francisco State College (now San Francisco State University).

People who think of themselves as tough-minded and realistic, among them influential political leaders and businessmen as well as go-getters and hustlers of smaller caliber, tend to take it for granted that human nature is selfish and that life is a struggle in which only the fittest may survive. According to this philosophy, the basic law by which man must live, in spite of his surface veneer of civilization, is the law of the jungle. The "fittest" are those who can bring to the struggle superior force, superior cunning, and superior ruthlessness.

We live in a highly competitive society, each of us trying to outdo the other in wealth, in popularity or social prestige, in dress, in scholastic grades or golf scores. One is often tempted to say that conflict, rather than cooperation, is the great governing principle of human life.

In the age of television, image becomes more important than substance.

In just a few words, S.I. Hayakawa has descibed and put into context why social media platforms have become the dominate 'culture' of the present times. He has put into a nutshell an explanation of the MAGA Movement. His words give insight to forces that have propelled Trump back into the national spotlight, despite the obvious dangers of his philosophy of ruling with an iron fist.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring, let alone the next four years. I do know this. I am marching to the sound of my own drum. This desire was the foundation of why I started Time to Blog! in the first place. I may have been caught up in the whirlwind of change the past 20 years, but this has been my constant.

Was going through some older documentation I have saved over the years. It is massive.
This is worth reading if you consider yourself a hacker.

President-elect Donald Trump was sentenced to an "unconditional discharge" in the New York hush money case, making him the first president to have been sentenced for a criminal conviction once he's sworn into office January 20, 2025.

The unconditional discharge allows Trump's conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records
to stand with no further penalties, such as jail time.

Trump was convicted in May of falsifying records related to hush money that his attorney Michael Cohen paid adult film star Stormy Daniels in the closing days of the 2016 presidential election. Daniels testified that she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, which he has denied.

Complete audio.

I am reading between the lines, but it sounds like Judge Merchan stated for the record his hand's were tied by the Supreme Court ruling of presidential immunity. Trump's guilt was undeniable. If Trump had lost the election, given the severity of the case and his refusal to accept any responsibilty for his actions, plus the threats he made to the judge and his staff, plus his 10 violations of the gag order imposed, he may have ended up in jail for the rest of his life.

Why this sentencing was important.

It is now an official legal record of history that Trump was found guilty and is a convicted felon 34 times over. It is now an official legal record of history that any US citizen found guilty of the crimes Trump committed and were to show a total disregard for the rule of law to the degree that Donald J. Trump did, would have been tossed into a dungeon to rot till death said otherwise.

A national funeral service was held for former President Jimmy Carter at Washington National Cathedral
this morning, marking the conclusion of his state funeral.

The five living current and former presidents were in attendance: Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and George W. Bush. There are also current and former vice presidents, first ladies, supreme court justices and congressional leaders.

Out with the old and in with the new. The new is not better. In fact, it is far worse than anything we can imagine. I have refrained from even thinking about the insane jibberish coming out of Trump's mouth the last week. My perspective has narrowed. I have not put my head into the sand. I cannot pretend I don't see or understand what is going down. My priorities dictate a more productive course.

I like this.

I have no love for Trump or Biden. I said years ago that Papa Joe had a radish for a brain. I said years ago if the shit hit the fan, Biden would unbuckle his pants, drop his drawers, and bend over. I said years ago that Trump was a lying fascist turd walking upright. I believed these things then and I still do.

I agree with Michael Cohen. MAGA morons are dangerous. Elements are ready to arm themselves and start rounding up brown people. Threatening posts have been made on social media. This attitude can be understood considering where it is coming from; lower primates. There is no place for them in Congress or the Oval Office.

Hello January. New year. New friends, or not.
No past. What ever time lays ahead it belongs to me. No regret.

Everything I have done in the past three years was designed to accomplish one thing. This was to create a situation where I was in control of the day. Mission accomplished. I think of all the times I thought that I didn't know what to do or where to turn. These thoughts still plague me, but the only thing I really need to think about is that I have done what I set out to do. The time I have control of, fleeting as it may be, is the foundation of what I do with the rest of my life. Maybe the hardest part is still in front of me. I can see things as they are. Time is the energy that I will bend to my will. No matter what happens in the future, I made this happen. I am not a failure. Looking back on things, I only think I am when I let thoughts of what others are doing interfere with my emotions. Bottom line. I don't give a flying fuck what others think or do. I will not let hate drive me, but god help anyone who makes the mistake of crosssing my path. This shit comes to an end here and now.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A driver wrought carnage on New Orleans' famed French Quarter early on New Year's Day, killing 10 people as he steered around a police blockade and rammed a pickup truck into a crowd before being shot to death by police, authorities said.

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy Issues Firm Warning To Federal Govt
About Transparency Around New Orleans Investigation

FBI doesn't think driver in deadly crowd attack was 'solely responsible'

I pray that this butchery was cooked up by a few 'home grown' scum bags. Listening to Senator Kennedy and the mayor speak, it sounds that this attack could have been the work of a state actor. People were wringing their hands during the campaign that if Trump was elected president, WWIII would be right around the corner. It's obvious that these arm chair political scientists are blind and stupid. If the present global chaos and mass killings happening right now in countries all over the globe don't constitute a 'world war', I don't know what would. Now it looks like it may be possible this insanity is here on our door step.
