MADRID — Paco de Lucia, one of the world’s greatest guitarists who dazzled audiences with his lightning-speed flamenco rhythms and finger work, has died in Mexico, Spanish officials said Wednesday. He was 66.
“Paco lived as he wished and died playing with his children beside the sea,” said a statement from de Lucia’s family published on the websites of Spanish newspapers.
God speed to you. I envy the life you had and respect the work you did to make it your own.
This is an important story. It isn't a pleasant observation but it is being made and this is crucial. It needs to be read. Our way of life is under attack on so many fronts that we are unable to address them. The attack is one of global proportions. I am pleased to see individuals taking a stand and having the courage and the strength to point a finger and raise their voice.
I never have been a fan of rap, but I like this. I call it rap because this is what the style of poetry Ali did is called today. The only difference is that his poetry is good.
I'm ready. I can't explain why. That would involve 58 years worth of trail and error analysis. The realization of the time necessary for me to come to this stage of development is disappointing on one hand, but understandable on the other. All that really matters is a continuation of moving forward. It's about the journey. As long as I am still breathing, I have time to do what it is I have always known I should be doing. I didn't have the skill, until now. I need 20 more years. I pray this requirement will be granted. I will do my part to earn the privilege.

Ted Nugent made this apology to conservative radio host Ben Ferguson, who's also a CNN political commentator.
Texas attorney general Greg Abbott, the likely GOP gubernatorial nominee this year,
came under heavy criticism from Democrats this week for campaigning with Nugent,
who's known for making outlandish comments about the President.
Nugent said he apologizes "for using the streetfighter terminology of "subhuman mongrel"
instead of just using more understandable language, such as "violator of his oath to the Constitution".
Ted Nugent is a loose cannon. He is an old school rock & roll musician. If Greg Abbott
didn't understand that before he agreed to bring him aboard his campaign wagon train,
he doesn't have the common sense needed to hold political office. I'm disappointed.
Not because Nugent said what was on his mind. I'm disappointed he has back tracked
on his position and is trying to embrace a politically correct stance.

This image provided by the Clark County Detention Center shows Kirk Bills, who has been accused of trying to burn a pet shop where 27 puppies were rescued last month. Bills has been returned in custody to Las Vegas to face arson and other charges, authorities said Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.
Bills and store owner Gloria Eun Hye Lee, 35, face felony and misdemeanor arson, conspiracy, burglary and attempted animal cruelty charges in the Jan. 27 fire at Lee's Prince and Princess pet shop. Authorities believe profit was the motive for the fire that damaged Lee's store and an adjacent business in a strip mall southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.
Court documents say Bills is seen on security video pouring liquid from gasoline cans and igniting it while Lee collects files and leaves. Lee was indicted last week. She is being held on $310,000 bail at the Clark County jail pending a Monday arraignment in state court. She could face decades in prison if she is convicted. Her lawyers have said she'll plead not guilty.
You have to love the "puppy killer" angle on this story. Who cares about the possible loss of human life that could have resulted in these two bone heads setting fire to the store. Not to mention doing it on security video. This story falls into the category of genius at work variety I love to chronicle here on the blog. It also falls into the category of "I woke up this morning and decided to flush my life down the toilet." I haven't done much research in this area lately. Incidents of this nature is so wide spread, they are nothing more than daily occurrences. I'm tired of them.
I'm just trying to enjoy my life and work to become something greater than I currently am. This will keep me occupied for the duration. I should be concerned with a lot of things, but I'm really not. Life is too short and the scenes coming out of the Ukraine and Venezuela confirm this.
HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Former U.S. Rep.
Melvin Jay Reynolds has been arrested in Zimbabwe on suspicion of possessing pornography and an immigration offence.
He brought several Zimbabwean models and other women to his hotel room where he took photographs and videos, the newspaper reported.
Reynolds could face up to two years' imprisonment or a hefty fine if found guilty of possessing pornographic material and deportation for breaching Zimbabwean immigration laws. It is illegal in Zimbabwe to possess any material of a sexual nature.
It doesn't matter how high up the ladder of influence you climb, if those in power wish to cast you down into the pit, that is where you'll end up. It is beyond reason to assume this man did not know it was illegal to be producing home movies of a sexual nature in Zimbabwe. It says in the article Reynolds had visited the country 17 times. He knew what he was doing. He must have had some pretty wild stuff on that laptop of his. This might explain why he was arrested. Materials of this explicit nature must be hard to come by. I'm sure the good old boys running the country are having a fine time watching the videos Reynolds made and making copies of the materials on the laptop for their personal collections.

Snakebite Kills Reality Show Snake Handler.
Coots was a third-generation "serpent handler" and aspired to one day pass the practice and his church, Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name, on to his adult son, Little Cody.
The National Geographic show featured Coots and cast handling all kinds of poisonous snakes -- copperheads, rattlers, cottonmouths. Even after losing half of his finger to a snake bite and seeing others die from bites during services, Coots believes he must take up serpents and follow the Holiness faith.
I would bet a million dollars, if I had it, that the words dripping from the lips of Pentecostal church goers who handle snakes would be, "This is what Jesus wanted." Praise the Lord and pass the strychnine!

Those words rang true then in July of 2004 and they ring as clear today almost 10 years later.
Recently, I have removed material that I thought would bring down too much heat on me. I am only one small man with no resources. I am barely hanging on to a subsistence living. At this point in my life I am almost to the point of thinking I just want to be left alone and live what few days I have left in peace and quite. Just a few days ago, I received what I considered to be a rather strange e-mail.
I felt as if I was being watched and perhaps monitored. It wasn't threatening, but it was eerie. The person who sent this e-mail was forwarding a copy to a third party. I recognized the name of this third party and I didn't think it was "business as usual."
We are being watched. Even a nobody such as myself is being monitored. A line in the sand has to be drawn. We are good people in the United States of America. There is no reason to be collecting every scape of information about each and every one of us. It's unacceptable. Either we are living in a free and open society or we aren't. If we aren't, come right out and lay the chips on the table. This subterfuge is bullshit.
It looks like Dennis Rodman won't be going back to visit his dear friend Kim Jong-un for awhile, if ever.
The Korean Times -- Rodman drunk, vomited, defecated all over Koryo Hotel in NK.
He was lucky they "asked" him to leave. From the tone of the article, Rodman's reputation in North Korea has been lowered to animal status. The last person I remember being referred to as an animal in the North Korean press was Kim Jong-un's uncle. They shot him.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'll say this again. Information Technology is bleeding. As long as IT is hemorrhaging, there can be no economic recovery in the United States. President Obama said in his State of the Union Address he is going to sit down with CEO heavyweights and they will come up with a plan to get the ball rolling on creating jobs and economic long term growth. Timothy Geithner did this already several years ago. Nothing came of it. It was a dog & pony show then, and any talk of meeting with CEO's now is just a lame attempt to pacify criticism that nothing is being done, and that nothing has been done by the present administration to get people back to work. Is it not painfully obvious by now that the declaration that the Great Recession is over was bullshit? The poverty in this country has never been greater in any time in our history. The very CEO's that Obama plans to chat with are the same people who have systematically raped and pillaged the citizens, and the wealth of this nation. This has gone far beyond spin and dirty politics. The behavior of the United States Government is a disgrace to human decency.
Talking about disgrace, the media glorification of this drug overdose is a joke to anyone with a functioning brain cell.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was found with five empty heroin bags as well as many as 65 more bags that were still unused. Police also found used syringes, including one needle that was sticking out of Hoffman's arm when his body was discovered Sunday in his Greenwich Village apartment.
It is tragic to see gifted and talented people die young, but this pandering to a drug addict in the media needs to stop. The evidence points to a suicide but the death is being treated as some sort of terrible accident. That's Hollywood spin in a nutshell. They glorify vice. They bend over backwards to protect those individuals that help them line their pockets with so much money that they don't know what to do with it. Speaking about protection, Woody Allen comes to mind. I wasn't there so I can't say he actually fucked his 7 year old adopted daughter over an extended period of time. People who know what side of their bread is buttered are flocking to his defense. Who cares about the life that was destroyed. There isn't any money in damaged goods.
I took this picture with my LG 840G phone. It is slightly blurred. I think this is the first time I tried pointing it at myself. I have a Sony Cybershot 4.1 Mega Pixels camera I use to take pictures with. This Sony is an older model but it takes beautiful pictures. The quality of the Sony far surpasses this LG rig. If you were on the town and you wanted to take some pics, it would be fine. I don't post very many pictures of myself, but I like this one.

How does the NSA get the private crypto keys that allow it to bulk eavesdrop on some email providers and social networking sites? It’s one of the mysteries yet unanswered by the Edward Snowden leaks. But we know that so-called SSL keys are prized by the NSA -- understandably, since one tiny 256 byte key can expose millions of people to intelligence collection. And we know that the agency has a specialized group that collects such keys by hook or by crook. That's about it.
Which is why the appellate court challenge pitting encrypted email provider Lavabit against the Justice Department is so important: It's the only publicly documented case where a district judge has ordered an internet company to hand over its SSL key to the U.S. government — in this case, the FBI.
This is important. The last thing I want to do with my time is listen to a room full of shysters quibbling over legal
codices. Kim Dotcom made the statement that in order to reign in the spy masters, we must encrypt the Internet. If those who wish to archive the entire world database to use at their private discretion have the keys to the kingdom , encryption is useless because encryption would no longer exist. I made the statement that when the time actually comes to where people are being rounded up into cattle cars, it will all be perfectly legal. The law will be clear. It will be "on the books". This is how it is done.
I'm going to watch Super Bowl XLVIII on Fox Sports Live Game from my desktop. The pre-game hype is cooking along and there have been a ton of commercials already. This reminds me why I don't watch television. They are stupid. I don't even know what the spread is. That makes me laugh considering there was a time that gaming consumed my life living and working in Las Vegas.
I don't miss those times. I do not ever for-see myself even going back there to see the place. Gaming turned way too many people into walking piles of shit and the stench was overwhelming. My 12 years in Las Vegas was the low ebb of my lifetime. Every person I knew and cared about shit on me. That's what vice does to you. It turns you into a lower form of life. I can't blame vice on reducing the people living here in Wisconsin into lower life forms. They were born that way. Inbreeding will do that to you. These next six months will go quickly. I will stay busy. Packing up and heading into the wild blue yonder is unnerving, but you only live once. There is nothing for me here in this redneck wasteland.

The Super Bowl curse is working it's mojo. The Broncos are disintegrating. I did check on the spread. Seems that the smart money was flowing 3/1 to the Bronco wager at -2.5 It's Seahawks 22 Broncos 0 with 3:00 minutes left in the first half. Damn casinos can't help but fall consistently into a huge pile of fucking money. The Broncos haven't gotten it together since their first possession. Seeing a safety result in the first play of the game was a shocker.

The Broncos have lost the will to live. This isn't a sporting contest. It's a suicide; Seattle 43 Denver 8 with 10:00 minutes left in the game. It's Super Bowl XXIV revisited - San Francisco 55, Denver 10. I hate to see the casinos cleaning up like this.
Time to get cracking. I don't have much time to grow a new brain, if that is possible. I can get something going. If other people can put a "start-up" business together, I can do the same. It doesn't have to be anything complicated.
