This isn't earth shattering news:

Billionaires thrive off of the abuse of their workers. They do not make the products they sell themselves — rather, they oversee thousands of workers who create these products for them. In order to turn over a profit of a billion dollars, these workers are, more often than not, underpaid and subject to physical and other abuses. Billionaires make their money off the backs of novel immigrants, minority groups and those living in poverty who are desperate enough for a job that they will accept any pay or conditions if it means a stable wage.

On June 20, 2023, Bernard (Bernie) Sanders, Chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions sent the following letter to Andy Jassy, the Chief Executive Officer of Amazon.com, Inc. This letter is an excellent example of the abuse the average American worker must endure to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. Acceptance of this status quo by our elected politicians and our system of law has created a caste system in this country. Sanders calls it what it is, an oligarchy.

I can understand Trump putting someone like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in charge of a committee to explore ways to cut wasteful spending of US tax dollars. Musk and Ramaswamy believe this appointment to chair a side project of Trump entitles them to run Washington. Musk is telling Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, that bills need his approval before they can head to the President's desk. Ramaswamy is lecturing Congress on immigration policy, namely H-1B visas. Neither of these two billionaires are elected officials. They are private citizens. They have no business patronizing or threatening members of Congress.

As far as I know nothing came of the letter Bernie Sanders sent to the Chief Executive Officer of Amazon.com concerning OSHA violations in their warehouses. Nothing is going to be done. Things are not going to improve. In fact, they are getting worse by the day:

Homelessness in America reached record high numbers earlier this year. A government report out today reveals that, last January, the number of people experiencing homelessness shot up by 18 percent to roughly 770,000, as counted on a single night.

The annual survey published by the Department of Housing and Urban Development pointed to a list of intensifying economic problems, rising housing costs and the migrant influx in some cities among them.

I give Bernie Sanders credit for continuing his fight to help the working men and women in this country. He is tilting at windmills. I think he knows this but he will continue the fight to his grave. God bless him. Oligarchy ... Welcome to the New World Order (NWO). I said this before. The NWO is not something that is coming. It is here. Their strangle hold is so complete, they don't have to rule from the shadows. Their power is so pervasive they can operate in broad daylight. The digital, global communication network is now a platform to dictate the NWO agenda.

*Note
Has an accurate account of receipts been published or even collected concerning the Harris/Waltz Presidential campaign? I don't think so. $1.5 billion goes up in smoke in 100 days. Exactly how it was spent has been swept under the rug. No surprise the story got squashed when it was reported that folks like Oprah Winfrey were filling their pockets.

Good place to end this year. Only 'the Shadow' knows what the Trump era is going to bring. My gut instincts tell me a horde of locust straight from the bowels of hell.

One last thing. This is something of a repeat of the above video, but it is worth posting gain. The message cannot be any clearer. The vast majority of us are in for a rough ride ahead.

Decided to "re-invent" my outward appearance. I am growing my hair back too. It doesn't look half bad for an old geezer. It is thinner on top but I think there is enough left to fill in to a degree of personal satisfaction. I like the mustache. My great grandfather had one similar to the one I am growing. I bear a strong resemblance to him. Perhaps I will carry on with the family tradition.

I took the final exam for this Saylor Academy Course CS120: Bitcoin for Developers I this morning. I had 2 hours to complete this. I did it in 20 minutes. I didn't ponder on the answers. I read the question and answered it. I wanted to honestly assesses my knowledge on the subject matter. I receieved a passing grade. Mission accomplished.

I will continue my blockchain/BTC education. Python has tools to work it, so I might as well bite the bullet and learn it once and for all. I know I may never be able to write the great American application masterpiece using the Python programming language, but I will learn how to speak the language so I can communicate with those that can.

A Merry Christmas to everyone.
I walked away from my last casino job at the Q casino 299 days ago. My career in gaming is over and I am at peace with it. My Iowa gaming license expires December 31, 2024 and it will not be renewed. Without this license, I can't even work a vacuum cleaner in a casino in the State of Iowa.

I have no desire to work in either of the toilets here in Dubuque. I honestly do not see myself moving to a different state and applying for a casino position in that state. I have no desire to even punch a time card. I know I have to create an income steam well into my advanced years, but it makes my skin crawl thinking I have to accomplish this licking the corporate jack boot.

As for now, I sit tight and HODL. I stay the course at Saylor Academy. 2025 is going to be insane.
"May you live in interesting times."

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz seeks restraining order to halt release of House Ethics report.
The committee was expected to soon release the report about the former GOP lawmaker.

I get it. I know how brutal it is out there. If you aren't spending money to make your gal happy, you aren't getting any nookie. You take her out to nice restaurants. You buy her gifts. If she tells you, "my phone bill is due", you pull your wallet out and you hand her the cash. You don't wire money to a woman via Paypal or Western Union unless you are trying to hide the fact you are paying for something.

I'm sure Matt Gaetz thought it was a good idea at the time to be snorting cocaine off 17 year old coochie. It seems like yesterday he was the golden boy of the US House of Representatives. He bitch slapped former Speaker of the House Kevin Mccarthy around and treated him like his personal sissy boy. He obviously let this political power go to his head. Now, he is paying the price for his hubris and arrogance.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

My studies at Saylor Academy are going well. The Blockchain for Developers I course is top notch. I am also taking what is being called a Bitcoin specialization course. The depth of knowledge that Michael Saylor has put together in all the courses available is astonishing. Other companies charge good money for classes that don't hold a candle to them. Getting a certificate of completion may not mean much to other people, but it means a great deal to me.

2024 is coming to a close and 2025 is right around the bend. My crypto investment (Vechain) got slaughtered today along with the rest of the market. VET is my lone income stream opportunity. I still believe in this company. It is not a scam coin peddling bullshit. I have calculated a date target on when I can sell a portion of what I have, put some cash back in the bank, and hold the rest till the next price target is met. I hope to milk $80,000 in the next three years. The winds of fortune are not at my back. I made the mistake on not believing in myself before and it cost me millions of dollars. This is not an exageration. I jumped back into this cespool market because I see a light shining through the shit steam rising from the get rich quick hype that is, and always has been, the heart and soul of this market. $80,000 is possible. I'll wait.

According to Times magazine, "we are living in the age of Trump ". The dire warnings that the nation was on the brink of democratic self-destruction are yesterday's news. The boys and girls at Bloomberg are in a state of sheer delight. The stories circling the news desks from people who make their living predicting economic futures see unbridled profits on the horizon thanks to their fearless leader, Donald J. Trump. Trump is the newest super hero coming off the assembly line along with his side kick, Elon Musk. What a difference a day makes.

Sorry to say that global political chaos might throw a wrench in the works.

I have discovered a true constant of this universe. I am a fool. My misguided obsession with the need for recognition has been detrimental. It has wasted valuable time better spent doing something constructive. It has led me down paths that have led to dead-ends. It has brought me into contact with ignorant, self absorbed idiots. This obsession has blinded me. The cost has been a wasted life. I do not take this lightly.

Despite my failings, I have manged to put myself into a favorable position. Things change but for the foreseeable future things are looking good. My bills will be paid. I have the time to accomplish goals that will bring me the recognition I seek. This recognition is self recognition. It is all I need. If I am experiencing anger, it is anger directed toward myself. The waste that has accumulated is my own doing. I can't place blame on the morons I have surrounded myself with all these years. "Run silent, run deep." This all I need to remember. No looking back.

Today is the 83rd Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
It is important to remember the sacrifice that was made on this day.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in an unannounced late-night TV address, accusing the country’s main opposition party of sympathizing with North Korea and of anti-state activities.

The speaker of Parliament has declared the martial law announcement invalid and lawmakers voted to reject it. Reuters has reported that soldiers have advanced to the main building of the National Assembly.

Sky News has reported that protesters are clashing with soldiers
and police in South Korea's capital city.

The Martial Law Command in full

*To safeguard liberal democracy and protect the safety of the people against anti-state forces threatening to overthrow the Republic of Korea, the following measures are declared nationwide effective December 3, 2024, at 11:00 PM.

*1. All political activities, including the operations of the National Assembly, local councils, political parties, political associations, assemblies, and demonstrations, are strictly prohibited.

*2. Any act that denies or seeks to overthrow the liberal democratic system, including the dissemination of fake news, manipulation of public opinion, and false propaganda, is prohibited.

*3. All media and publications will be subject to the control of the Martial Law Command.

*4. Strikes, work slowdowns, and gatherings that incite social disorder are forbidden.

*5. All medical professionals, including resident doctors currently on strike or absent from medical duties, must return to their work and perform their responsibilities within 48 hours. Violators will be dealt with under martial law.

*6. Measures will be implemented to minimize inconvenience for ordinary citizens, except for anti-state forces and those attempting to overthrow the system.

Violators of this proclamation will be subject to arrest, detention, and search and seizure without a warrant under Article 9 of the Martial Law Act (Special Measures by the Martial Law Commander) and punished under Article 14 of the Martial Law Act (Penalties).

Will sit tight and see how this all plays out.

I've said this before and I will say it again, "just when I think it isn't possible to stack manure any higher, someone figures out a way to do it." So this crack head, sexual degenerate is going to help others who are in pain find joy. Isn't that special?

Note

White House relieved Yoon reversed course on martial law decision,
National Security Council spokesperson says

From CNN's Arlette Saenz:

The White House is expressing relief after South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol lifted the martial law
declaration following country’s parliamentary vote to block it.

"We are relieved President Yoon has reversed course on his concerning declaration of martial law and respected the ROK National Assembly's vote to end it," a National Security Council spokesperson said, using the abbreviation for Republic of Korea. "Democracy is at the foundation of the U.S.- ROK alliance, and we will continue to monitor the situation."

By monitoring the situation, the U.S. State Department is keeping their powder dry till military forces actually hand the streets back over to civilian control. There might be fear that the citizens of South Korea have had enough of this maniac President Yoon Suk Yeol, and effort could be made to string him up by the heels in the public square of Seoul. Washington would frown on this. Approximately 48,000 US citizens live in South Korea.

Hello December.

The expression "don't cast pearls before swine" originated in the New Testament, in the Bible's Gospel of Matthew, chapter 7, verse 6. The phrase first appeared in Tyndale's translation of the Bible in 1526. Revised Standard Version (RSV) "Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you."

The Bible is not the only book you can read that has Wisdom contained within the pages. The bookshelves of the world have an abundance. The great men and women have been telling us for thousands of years what Life is and how one can find a semblance of peace living the days we have measured in our lifetimes. How did we repay their kindness? We repaid them with blood.

People refused to listen. They continue to lash out. People do not wish to see the Light. They like the Darkness. They cannot get enough of it. There is no need to understand why they world is filled with hate. Even if you mange, nothing will change. I think it is enough for me to accept this flaw in the human race and continue down the road.

I keep telling myself, "run silent, run deep." I am disappointed that people I called friends turned on me. Some did it out of spite. Others did it because they are shallow, weak, and vindictive. Any success on my part was seen as a personal attack against them. There is no need for anger. The loss is theirs.

I like this video. The world is just the way it is and it isn't going to change. Technology will not herald a new dawn of peace and prosperity. It will not improve the human condition. It will not empower anyone. We have the means to accomplish all of these things. It isn't a question of technological advances. The world is not going to change. At the end of the day, we are just a stones throw from the cave we crawled out of. The world is filled with lower primates and life is nothing more than a pissing contest. How can anyone believe technology will change this? It's a joke.

I study computer science because it keeps my mind young. I like to see systems work first hand, under the hood. The history of the human race is a story of mankind building better tools. This is what homo sapiens do. I don't think we even stop to consider this. We are going to build these tools regardless of what good they may bring to the world. What good comes out of it is a crap shoot. We think we are making improvements to our lives and as time goes by, we come to realize these so called improvements have consequences we never imagined. The people who built our present artificial intelligence monstrosities are telling us this technology is dangerous. No one is listening. Everyone is too busy using social media platforms to piss on each other.
