This is a news article I read at

"News that's not known, or not known enough."
Helen & Harry Highwater's cranky weblog of news and opinion.

Trampling on the First Amendment is now common practice, and has been such for the past eight years, or longer. I hate to think I have given up caring. I remember writing somewhere in this Blog that incoming administrations can thank Bush for laying the groundwork. They can now rule with little or no regard or fear of legal scrutiny. I'm not saying the Obama Administration ordered peaceful protesters to be beaten, but no inquiry will be conducted. Obviously, these people are un-American, are against the War on Terror, and deserved what they had coming to them. Where did they ever get the idea that they can question those elected to serve? In the present political climate, this antiquated way of thinking won't be tolerated.

Routine police work in Pittsburgh

      •  As expected, the police in Pittsburgh beat the hell out of the First Amendment during last week's G20 meetings. It's shameful, routine, and un-American if you believe in the principles publicly espoused as "American", but of course nothing could be more all-American if you live in the real world.
Cops at G20 deployed a military weapon on peaceful protesters and anyone who just happened to be there, blasting the streets with upwards of 150 decibels of noise (more than enough to cause permanent hearing damage) through "sound cannons". Wig says: Don't they have excessive sound laws in Pittsburgh?
"No matter where you went, there was no way to leave..." If you've been to more than a few protests, you learn to see this cop tactic coming. The crowd is boxed in by a wall of police officers dressed like stormtroopers maneuvering into planned positions, and once the wall has everyone enclosed and there’s nowhere to go, cops give the order to “disperse” and begin arresting everyone, since, of course, it’s impossible to disperse. "A lot of people were saying, I'm just trying to leave." Yup. This is routine police work, like making sure the handcuffs are too tight and always eyeballing black folks extra close.
The reports go on, pretty much as you'd expect if you're aware of the police response to protests in America. "He threw me to the ground. He kept smashing my face into the ground. Then about two or three other cops came over. They jumped on me."
It's been this way for as long as I can remember, but as recently as perhaps ten years ago I had the impression that it was something that at least embarrassed police departments. Nowadays cops and their commanders are just plain proud of what they do. Here's Pittsburgh cops posing for a group photo with what appears to be a trophy — an arrested person on his or her knees.

I just check this link showing the Pittsburgh cops posing for a group photo with what appeared to be an arrested person on his or her knees. The link was to a YouTube video. This video has been removed "due to terms of use violation." I laugh. You got people posting nude and what many would consider offense and obscene videos on YouTube, but showing the world the truth about what happens to citizens who exercise their Constitutional Rights is considered a violation?

I have been reading articles that say that Lou Dobs is a racist. Many people are turning against him. Where these stories are originating is anyone's guess. I could go on a rant here, but I will refrain. This is worth listening to. I have heard all about the North American Union idea, so it isn't a surprise. I have to agree that if the G20 is talking about this it is disturbing.

Haven't written much of anything this month. I might even venture to say that this has been the least I have written since I started Time To Blog! Things will pick up again. I am focusing on learning PowerShell. If I don't master this scripting language, and acquire skills necessary to enter the IT workforce, I will be stuck in a meaningless job with no prospects for any real joy left in life. Millions of people spend their lives in similar positions, but I refuse to succumb to this dismal state of existence. I will be making my after video on October 1, 2009. I haven't been hitting the routine like I had planned, but I am pleased with my results. I have bulked up and the flab around my gut has diminished. It has been a good start. By November 1st I will bulk up even more, and will have a better cut. I have to keep moving forward. There is no where else to go.

Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner, host to an ever-changing coterie of scantily-clad young women at the Playboy Mansion, has filed for divorce from the estranged wife, Kimberly Conrad. The pair were married in July 1989 and have been separated since January 1998. Conrad and Hefner have two sons. Hefner says "I am happy to be out of the marriage. I only remained married (to Conrad) for the sake of the children, at her request. I am happy to have this behind me."

I'm sure Hugh is distaught about this divorce more than he lets on. It's s good thing he has the Shannon twins to comfort him in this time of need.

And let's not forget Crystal Harris, Hugh Hefner's other new girlfriend. My prayers are with you Hugh.

I jest, but time for a serious observation. Today is the ten year anniversary of my black belt test in the art of Tang Soo Do Karate. I didn't do well, but I did well enough to pass. I have always set the bar high. I beat myself up for not achieving the standards I set, but to strive for excellence is not for the weak. That is why I intend to really kick ass and surprise myself come October 1st when I make my after video. I will have ripped abdominals. I will reduce, if not eliminate this flab I have around my waist. After I get back into fighting shape, there are some things I will continue working on, and this mostly entails my martial arts training. I trained for a very long time even before I entered formal training with the ITO. I have the knowledge and the tools to achieve greater things, and this I can achieve through the force of my own will.

A beautiful early autumn day here in Stoughton. I am thinking about walking the trail today. Weather like this won't be lasting long and I would like to enjoy the day while it lasts. I have exercises to do and I can not neglect them in exchange. October 1st will come soon and I do not wish to disappoint myself with weak results from my project to melt this flab arounf my gut and get ripped as much as possible in this short span of time. I have learned about Virtualization. The next big thing in Information Technology (it's big now and getting bigger) is Virtualization.
It was only about four years ago that the topic of virtualization itself was thought of as some obscure, black art technology that only a handful of people cared about, and yet today, it is thought of as a mainstream “must have” technology for any IT organization. VMware ESX Essentials in the Virtual Data Center - Auerbach Publications 2009
There is a ton of information on what this technology is and does, so I won't go into any specific details. VMWare has embraced Powershell as a premier tool to administer and manage their virtual enterprises. A GUI called Virtualization EcoShell® has built it's framework on the PowerShell engine. 3rd party demand for the automation capabilities of PowerShell and it's scripting language continues to explode. Skills using PowerShell will take you places. This is a given. I will focus on learning this black art called Virtualization. This will be my second major. My plate is full. I need to focus solely on learning PowerShell for the time being, and then expand this knowledge to manipulate WMI objects and administering virtual enterprises.

From what I have been reading, the economy is not going to recover in the near future. I am thankful I have a good paying job. I do not believe I am able to physically work this job till I am 70. If I read my tea leaves correctly, I have no choice but to continue working to earn a living. I can not depend on Social Security. I can only depend on the fruits of my own labor. If I am to work till I basically drop dead, I have to create a career that will make this option a reality; Information Technology

Oatmeal is settling on the stove. It's 8:00 AM and I am preparing for another day of physical and mental training. This is where I need to be. This is where I choose to be. This is my element. I have come to an understanding of what it is I need to accomplish with Powershell in able to secure IT employment. 3rd party vendors and IT companies themselves are seeing the value of PowerShell and it's automation capabilities. I really don't have to concentrate on exactly what it is I intend to use it for. At this stage, I just need to focus on being able to interact with the CLI and the scripting language quickly and efficiently. If I can master this skill, I can take the next step and focus on using these skills in a particular area of Internet Technology.

The project to reduce the flab around my gut and the waistline in general is in the beginning stage, but I am confident that by October 1, 2009 I will be able to produce a convincing after video. The first week has been hell. I haven't slid into the abyss of no return, but I was at the point where I could not neglect training any longer. I have been saying for years that I needed to get back into a schedule of physical exercise. I will achieve some degree of fitness in the next month, and I will be able to take this vitality and begin seriously focusing on my martial art in earnest. I am doing a few things now, but nothing like I was when I was in fighting shape.

Watched an interesting interview with Leo Zagami. I still like to keep tabs on what the Powers That Be are up to, and get a fresh perspective on the history of the NWO agenda. It has been reported that Leo Zagami is nothing more than a misinformation agent working with the CIA and a Grand Master of the Illuminati. I really don't care ether way. I can do the research and come to my own conclusions. This is the first time in very long time I have checked up on these folks. I am too busy living and working on changing my life. I haven't got the time, nor do I have the inclination to tilt windmills.
