The President posted a Thanksgiving 'tweet'. I do not make a habit of reading the posts of Donald J. Trump. I'd rather not know what he is ranting about. Life is troubling enough and adding to them doesn't improve the situation.
This particular proclamation made it's way to the front page of a majority of the country's front page news. I found it disturbing, dark, and twisted. Thanksgiving has a long tradition in the United States. Many people view this 'day of thanks' as racist. They see it as a celebration of colonialism. They perceive it as insensitive to those people who are not WASP.
"White Anglo-Saxon Protestant," or WASP, is a term for a historically dominant group in American society, referring to white, Protestant Americans of British and Northern European descent, often with long-standing family roots in the United States. The term historically associated with wealth, influence, and leadership, especially in politics, business, and education.
Given that context, the post made by our Fearless Leader fits like a glove. It is a sad statement that sheds light on the mindset, the values, and the revealing hatred of a man born of privilege, who despises anyone who isn't a member of his exclusive circle of snobs. Just when I thought it wasn't possible for Trump to lower himself and put his childish, emotional maturity on full display for the world to see, he goes right ahead and proves me wrong.
Happy Thanksgiving. I am grateful. I have a great deal to be thankful for. I am living a decent life regardless of the shit show that has engulfed and dominates the world's attention span. There are great things on the horizon. My hopes and aspirations are not diminished despite the relentless attempts by others to squash them.
Horrible. My thoughts and prayers are with the people who are suffering from the loss this tragic fire has caused.
And also to the two National Guard members shot in Washington, D.C.
When I see news of this sort, I realize again, just how safe it is to live in Dubuque, Iowa.
Trump had quite the day entertaining the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia at the White House. Hobnobbing with powerful men who abuse their citizens is a favorite pastime of our current President.
This statement from Trump about the gruesome murder of a US resident and journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, is a watershed moment to everyone in this country and to other people throughout the world regardless of profession or social status. No one liked the guy. You get out of bed. You get murdered and chopped up into smaller pieces. Things happen. The same could be said about the victims of Jeffrey Epstein. You get raped by the rich and powerful, tossed into a ditch and left for dead. Things happen.
It is painfully clear, if it wasn't already, what Trump's priorities truly are. Donald J. Trump, the man who wished to become king has no clothes.
My favorite story of the week. The brother of Jeffrey Epstein cleared up any confusion this released email may have caused. 'Bubba' does not refer to Bill Clinton. The two brothers were just kidding around and the email was private. It was never intended to go public. I'm glad this misconception is clear. I only have one question. If 'Bubba' is not Bill Clinton, who is?
The big story of the day is the feud between Marjorie Taylor Green and President Trump. Look, anyone who has been a member of the Trump inner circle has been tossed under the bus. The man uses people when it suits him and when he is done with you he pisses on you. Look at the situation of Michael Cohen. The man ended up in prison. Look at the comments Trump has made about people who were the 'best and greatest individuals' in the country when they were sucking up to him and doing his dirty work. When they stopped kissing his ass or refused to bury his shit under a rug, he called them losers. He said they were incompetent. He said they were stupid. He calls them RINO's.
There is no story here or surprises. Green got smart. She realizes normal, God fearing people are not going to turn a blind eye to child molesters, or support their agenda of covering it up.
I haven't had much to say, but since I am paying for this space I feel compelled to use it. Bottom line is I have standards. I have never posted something just to fill the void. I like to think what I write has value, even when I am whimpering about how life has shoved the short end of the stick up my ass.
I am still watching Bloomberg Surveillance Live everyday. Good stuff, even if it is geared towards the 2% of those individuals who own us. Political news is presented through the lens of business. I'd rather have it reported this way then having to filter out far left or far right tendencies.
AI is still the new god of Wall Street. Tariffs are producing wealth. The U.S. economy is the envy of the entire civilized world. Unemployment is tolerable and it will get better. Inflation is being controlled. 2026 looks to be a year of continued unbridled prosperity. Happy days are here again!
Trump has been busy. He has made recent statements about potentially conducting ground strikes in Venezuela as part of an escalated anti-drug campaign.
He posted this message about reported killings in Nigeria.
This is our "peace president" in action. The only peace Donald J. Trump ever pursued was a piece of ass.
As customary, I welcome November to Time to Blog! Hello November.
You can't look at business news on any platform these days without being pummeled over the head with the wonder and praise that is Artificial Intelligence. This gizmo is the pinnacle of human civilization. This contraption is so sophisticated, we don't even know what the hell it is doing half the time, but goddamn, isn't it wonderful?
We have already passed the point of common sense, but who needs it? AI has taken that job over and it's all good. It is a known fact that this technology will improve the human race in ways we cannot begin to understand. How do we know this? Sam Altman said so. Who are we, the 100's of millions of obsolete human beings to question the wisdom of the man who is helping to create this horror show called General Artificial Intelligence?
As we speed down the Information Super Highway in our latest and greatest bright and shiny toy, take a look into the rear view mirror and kiss the life you once had goodbye.
In the early days when this Super Highway was being paved, visionaries had great hope in the newly emerging technology called the Internet. The Internet was the 'Big Bang' moment that created what we now call Cyberspace. In this newly formed digital universe, the possibility to create a better world for everyone was a reality. That opportunity has slipped through our fingertips and Cyberspace has been bought and paid for by the billionaire elites. A new digital reality has been shoved up our ass and it is being done for our own good. We no longer have rights to Life, Liberty, or the Pursuit of happiness.
We no longer have a personal choice as to what career we will pursue. AI has made that choice. Forget about what may come 5-10 years down the road. Now, today ... the quality of life the human race will experience has already been decided.
The more things change the more they stay the same. Human beings are a commodity to be bought and sold, and the elites have sold us to the highest bidders; the Magnificent Seven. We no longer have the right to live on this planet. We are renters. Payment is marching lock step into a nightmare devoid of human creativity or human dignity. Cyberspace once seen as a potential paradise will become a digital hell. We have been damned.
I don't know if Sam Altman knows who John Perry Barlow was. If he does, I don't think he gives a damn.
I'm certain he doesn't
A blast from the past. Here is an older post. If there is a constant in this universe, it is this ... old school is good school. This was the dream 35 years ago. This is the dream that has been lost. For what? Money, power, control.
The Economy of Ideas by John Perry Barlow. Plug this name into your favorite search engine. John Barow is a pioneer, a visionary; the sort of person I admire greatly. I learned of him from reading Cyberia - Life in the Trenches
of Hyperspace - by Douglas Rushkoff. I have a link on the main page if you wish to download a copy. Fascinating information about the early days of Cyberspace, and the men who understood the impact it would have on the future. John Barlow is one of them. This declaration was also written by him. He is credited with coining the phrase cyberspace. The Independence of Cyberspace.
