I almost broke the wallet out of my back pocket in order to purchase a different computer. I looked at finding a replacement hard drive for that piece of crap HP Pavillion. I even found one on eBay for a decent price, but I don't know if it has the BIOS on it to boot up so I could get windows 7 re-installed. Instead, I found another Linux program; Mint 15. I got rid of Fedora 18 and got this new OS working. It is sweet. I even got the printer working which I was unable to do under Fedora 18. Every time those bone head developers in the Fedora ivory tower updated the kernel, I had to cross my fingers and hope the damn thing would reboot. This last update was the last straw. Fedora has a bad reputation for being unstable and it well deserved. Mint 15 runs great. It is responsive and I have all the programs working I used before. At this stage, I don't need a new computer and I can live without Windows 8 for now.
The working environment continues to deteriorate. I am insulated to a degree. I will find the will power to drag myself in till June at the earliest. I have to get a bank roll together so I can relocate someplace else.
When ever I see stories like this in the news, it makes me wonder just what it takes to put these lunatics behind bars.
University Shooter Arrested Again. Look at this scum bag. You don't need a degree in psychology to see that this pile of dog shit doesn't have the brain pan to understand he is a member of a society and with that membership comes responsibility. It would be a blessing to him and to the human race if he had the foresight to crawl into a hole and perish peacefully. It is a shame because it isn't his fault entirely. People who could make a difference aren't. He is being allowed to run amok. Why this is being allowed is another can of worms that I will not open. Madison used to be a decent place to live. It isn't anymore because the civil and legal rights of dog shit is more important than those of law abiding citizens.
*Note
It is a sad state of affairs I find myself in working with hillbilly swine here in this ass hole of the nation called Wisconsin.
It is difficult to pretend I don't care or that I am oblivious to the onslaught of red neck philosophy. It is hard to believe that this depth of ignorance exists in this day and age. My course of action is clear. I won't be here much longer. My lease comes to an end August 2014. By the fall, I will be in a new location where I will build a better life than the one I currently tolerate. I have tried my best to be happy here and to find peace. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, but in this case, some grass is better than none.
What is life?
It is the flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass
and loses itself in the sunset.

I have had a nagging, disturbing thought these past few days. These psychopath parasites wish nothing more than to suck my last dying breath from me.
This battle is not truly physical. It is a battle for my mind. I can not let them win. My body may wither and die, but it is my choice whether to die afraid and grasping at straws. This life is meaningless if my last moments are filled with fear, uncertainty, or regret. It would also be meaningless if I repeat the mistakes of my past.
I am not blind and I am not ignorant to this war I see happening before my very eyes.
Police State is Real
I can't continue dwelling on things that I can not control. Kennedy was blown away 50 years ago. The American Dream took a fatal head shot. I accept this.
Trump University Students Weigh In On Program's Merits In Wake Of New York Lawsuit
NEW YORK — Bob Guillo spent almost $35,000 hoping to learn some of Donald Trump's real estate secrets. Instead, he says, he left the sessions of Trump University cash-poor, with little more than a photo of himself next to a life-size cardboard cutout of the mogul, who never even showed up.
Trump's former students are coming forward to tell their stories in the wake of a $40 million lawsuit against "The Apprentice" star and his real estate school by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who says Trump helped run a phony university that promised to make students rich but instead steered them into expensive and largely useless seminars.
The billionaire developer says that Schneiderman's lawsuit is false and that his school had done a "fantastic job," with a 98 percent approval rating among students from around the country. He called the attorney general "a political hack looking to get publicity."
Guillo said that in the group seminars he attended in New York hotel conference rooms in 2009 and early 2010, an instructor "was flashing his Rolex watch and wearing a very expensive suit and fancy cufflinks as he told us his rags-to-riches story."
"We followed PowerPoint presentations, and they gave us loose-leaf manuals and websites you could pull up on your home computer.
We were all scammed," Guillo said.
I really loved learning of this story. Trump is a money grubbing megalomaniac. I have no doubt he honestly believes that the common folk would count their blessings to spend $35,000 to lick his boots, and to have their pictures taken along side a cardboard cutout of his image. The sheer arrogance of grifters flashing trinkets and passing themselves off as instructors is laughable. I hope Trump takes it up the ass on this one. It is high time "the Donald" ate some crow. It isn't going to happen but the thought is nice.
