I know it isn't going to make any difference six months from now, but the work environment I am presently in has turned hostile. The guy running the store is a drunk, and is becoming increasingly more belligerent each and every day. He is insecure. All he knows is hate. I will be moving on and he will remain in his present condition; wallowing in his own filth. Before I leave, I will file a formal complaint. It probably won't go anywhere. The universe has an odd way of dispensing justice, and I am convinced this sad excuse for a man and human being will get what is coming to him eventually. I am enjoying the posts I am producing in my new blog "In The Beginning Was The Command Line." The focus is sharp. The content is crisp. I write about what I am learning about computer programing and provide documentation related to Information Technology. I really do enjoy it. My Twitter account supports the same theme. I even have my twitter remarks piped into the blog and they run along the left side of the page. The new blogging online applications do produce quality sites. I still love and feel a personal satisfaction for what I am producing here by hand using no HTML editors or applications. What you see here is all HTML code right from the text editor. Eventually, I will learn how to configure and produce web content using Ruby/Ruby on Rails. The next generation of Time To Blog! may be better using these tools. Time will tell. As far as my tech education goes, it is moving along. I will have to pick up the pace in June. Given the present working situation, I have to get the hell out as soon as possible.

Music producer Phil Spector sits in a courtroom for his sentencing in Los Angeles, Friday, May 29, 2009.
LOS ANGELES - Phil Spector was sentenced Friday to 19 years to life in prison for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, who was shot through the mouth in the music producer's home six years ago. Spector, 69, looked straight forward and showed no emotion as Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler ordered a term of 15 years to life for second-degree murder plus four years for personal use of a gun.
I never thought I would see this happen. This sentencing puts the Spector series of reports I have written over the years to rest.

I have been working on another blog. In The Beginning Was The Command Line focuses on my pursuit of Information Technology credentials, skills, and knowledge. I have mentioned that it is my goal to acquire an IT job in 2010. This blog chronicles the journey to this end. The Left Hand of Sanity has remained dormant. I would like to get back to it, but will have to reinvent the topic and content. I still consider myself a Lord of the Left Hand Path. I always have been, and I don't see my spots changing. But to my shock and dismay, I found the US Satanic Community represented on the WWW was composed of fools and imposters. I would have liked to engage with people with similar goals and beliefs as myself. The US Satanic community represented on the WWW didn't meet my expectations. I do think that I will find other LHP followers in the IT community. These people represent individuality, the pursuit of knowledge, and the desire to create. In the meantime, I will pursue my personal agenda and filter out all distraction. Presently, I am living pay check to paycheck. I am over worked and underpaid. I really am nothing more than a grunt working side by side with the great unwashed, the hillbilly, and the brute. This is no way to live. This realization is the driving force behind my quest to seek the skill and the knowledge to enter the IT workforce. I have also connected myself to a degree with the Internet Social Community through Twitter. I have a Google profile. I have a Yahoo MyBlogLog. I will use these tools to network with those already working in IT.

I had to work this weekend so I was unable to attend this year's annual Wisconsin Brat Fest. I am disappointed because this year they broke the old record for the number of brats consumed over the course of the Memorial Day weekend.
MADISON, Wis. -- If you had a brat from Brat Fest this weekend, congratulations, you're a part of history. The record-breaking, 208,752nd brat was sold Sunday afternoon -- the final tally from the weekend and a new world's record. That topped last year's Brat Fest record of about 192,000, an increase of almost 9 percent As for the record brat, it's not for her. She was going to give it to her dog.
I have the day off. Washing clothes, dishes, and cleaning the apartment. I need more coffee.

11:00 AM
Clothes are washed, the dishes are done, and I am currently refueling with a fresh cup of hot coffee. Had breakfast at the corner spoon. My pancakes were not cooked to my liking; they were edible. Some retired clown with too much time on his hands was patronizing me. Never ceases to amaze me how ignorant the great unwashed truly are. It is little wonder the rest of the world is beating our brains out in the global economy. That is why my only real opportunity lies in the emerging IT technologies as far as devising some semblance of a career. If I am not able to make this happen, I will work the remainder of my life in the lower paid service sectors. Not a pleasant situation. I have not pursued opening a small martial arts class, and this shortcoming is my responsibility. Story of my life; a day late and a dollar short ... lazy. I have some bills to send out, and that should be it for the day. I will spend the rest of the afternoon reading my Network+ material, and maybe some PowerShell.

This is the single best compilation of knowlegde I have seen. Contained in this video are the secrets of the ages. Let those who can hear understand.

May 18, 2009

I found a huge collection of video on YouTube that I will enjoy watching! There is some great music and graphics to go with it, and also some "mind sync" music. These include broadcasts from Coast to Coast Radio and Project Camelot with interviews from David Wilcox, Richard Hoagland, and Dan Burish. These people are controversial, and some of the things they are talking about may be nothing more than bullshit piled as high as the moon, but there are grains of truth in what they advocate. Richard Hoagland is more than just some New Age nut job. His research and findings concerning Mars are worth looking at. Here is a video of Hoagland. If interested, follow up on it.

Here is some relaxation music - Throat Singing ... Enjoy.

I don't feel like sitting indoors all day pouring over Network+ documents. The weather is nice, and I may just enjoy the day. I have tomoorow off, so I can still get the wheel turning. I installed a working version of BASH that is windows compatible onto my XP machine. I will have to tinker with it to see if it really is a working model of the Linux version. From this shell, I can type "powershell" and PowerShell V2 will run from the open box ... cool. I type "exit" and the BASH shell takes over. If this works like it appears, I can switch from BASH to PowerShell from the same interface.

From Gregg Braden's, Union of Thought and Emotion. I am starting to lean towards this philosophy again. I still hold the thought that the power of will has dominated my life. I refuse to follow a herd mentality. I will not turn the other cheek. Even Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming teaches that those who oppose you and seek to harm you are the enemy. I have no great love for humanity. I still think the Great Unwashed are doomed to wallow in ignorance because of their lack of will. I think the knowledge in this energy field is important. The ancients called it the Tao. This is what I believe. And it has been written that those who know the Tao will live great lives. My life has been OK. I know I could have achieved more, but I am pleased with who I am. Enough of the jaw jabbering. This isn't a bad video.

And so it begins ...

The town of Stoughton is celebrating it's Norwegian heritage this week. The annual Syttende Mai festival is in full swing. People are lining main street. I think there is a parade this afternoon. I'll probably walk over there and watch it. Went out to Club Inferno last night. Nothing special happening there, but it was nice to get out of the house for a change. I was watching this gal dance. She was graceful. This was the highlight of the evening. I typed this entry today using gedit 2.22.0 - a small and lightweight text editor for the GNOME Desktop via the Fedora Operating System.

May 16, 2009

I am pleased I was able to install Fedora 9.0 onto an external hard drive I bought at Best Buy yesterday. I can boot my spare computer to run Windows XP or Fedora. The Vista machine still serves mainly as my Internet connection and information gathering work horse. It can do that well. The Windows XP/Fedora machine is my study work station, and also where I can create my .PDF files, along with other programs I run that won't operate on Vista. It isn't a perfect system, but I have three OS to play with. I am becoming a computer geek! I love it. I have had success working with the PoweShell running scripts and doing tasks with it. The USB connected external hard drive is a Toshiba brand. It cost me $80 and it has 250 gigabytes of storage. That is plenty. I remembering paying something like $180 for my 300 gigabyte unit around two years ago, and it wasn't worth that. When I fired it up it was actually a 280 gigabyte storage unit. It was crap from day one. No wonder my Vista turned it into a rock. It was also bulky. This Toshiba model is small, thin and rather stylish. It is solid black with a red swirl on it. It works like a charm. I am going to transfer all my important books and documents onto the Toshiba drive so I have a reliable backup. I have also burned the Stonne Master Library onto four DVD's, so I won't be loosing anything if my computers crash and burn on me. The van is running smoothly. I do need to replace some tire rods. My steering isn't tight, and I am burning rubber like a son of a bitch. The cost in tread savings alone is worth the $200 it will cost me to get that work completed. These next three days off will be sweet. This gives me an opportunity to buckle down and hit the books. I need the momentum. Come hell or high water, 2010 will be my IT debut. I didn't get the frozen food managerial position. The company is saving money by having the guy running the dairy department manage both. I don't blame him for taking the position. He is as sick of how the frozen department has been handled as I, but I should have been given the nod. This store is a dead end for me. The promise of being trained as a meat cutter didn't materialize, and now this shit. I'll take my checks, and quitely plan my exit strategy. If I am destined to be a working grunt, I want better pay.

My van is presently being operated on. It is going to cost me $330 to get it running without resorting to filling the radiator up with water every 20 miles. I had the radiator flushed, a new serpentine belt installed, and new anti-freeze restored along with the installation of the new water pump ... plus labor. It wasn't a cheap job, but it should hold for the time being. It is only a matter of time before it dies on me, or gets to the point where it isn't worth fixing, but for now, it will have to be my work horse to and from work. Gasoline prices here in Wisconsin have risen .30 per gallon in the last two weeks. Essentially, I and everyone else is getting a rod shoved up our ass. I was watching some video from the Microsoft Tech-Ed 2009 conference. PowerShell is a big topic. It is more than just a high tech, innovative tool for network administrators. This tool will enable better productivity. What does that translate to? Fewer people handling the work load - plain and simple. The corporate mentality of squeezing more profit out of the workforce's hide is being implemented in the IT industry as well. There is no escape. I have come to this conclusion. I will most definitely focus on getting the Network+ Certification, and learn the PowerShell scripting language. If you can operate this application, you can rise up the IT ladder. In the process of learning PowerShell I would be learning a computer language that embraces Object Oriented Programing/Scripting. I believe this would be an excellent primer into C++/Java, and is no doubt essential in network administration. Mastering PowerShell and tackling Network+ Certification will be the foundation of my IT aspirations. I know I can get my foot in the door with these two disciplines on my resume. Looking at the remainder of 2009 as a timeframe to complete these two goals is not beyond reach. Time to put the blinders on and focus on these two IT areas, and nothing else. I have to work tomorrow. As mentioned earlier, I will have three continuos days off! I will do nothing but study my PowerShell documents. I did my homework. I have the best manuals currently in print on learning/mastering PowerShell.

May 14, 2009

I have tomorrow off, work Saturday, and then I have three consecutive days off! In the two years I have been financially forced to work in this shit hole grocery store I have not had a vacation. I have had to use my vacation time/personal days to supplement my income because of hour cuts. Welcome to the new financial world order. I am having the water pump looked at tomorrow, so there goes several hundred dollars out of my savings. This van has been dependable, I'll give it that. At the same time, it isn't the most cost effective vehicle I have owned.

These videos are a must watch for anyone who wants to understand just how "effective" the Fed is at safeguarding taxpayer money. Apparently nobody at the Federal Reserve has any clue where the trillions of dollars that have come from the Fed's expanded balance sheet have gone. Additionally, nobody there seems to have any idea what the losses on the Fed's $2 trillion portfolio really are. Furthermore, an aditional $1.2 trillion dollars was "lent" to global banking concerns, and Fed Vice Chair Donald Kohn refuses to divulge to whom.

$1.2 Trillion Slush Fund: Congressman Alan Grayson Grills Fed Vice Chair Donald Kohn

Is Anyone Minding the Store at the Federal Reserve?

This isn't the entire reason. I still believe this financial disaster was contrived.
But here is excellent research on AIG, and the reach of their greed and unquenched desire for greater accumulations of wealth.

I found the original keyboard that came with the purchase of the Vista computer I bought. It was still in the box. I was using the old one from my original XP machine. I have to say, this newer one is better. So, I will scrap the old one and use this. I have discovered a new application to learn. It the Microsoft PowerShell, and I have also installed an application that enables a GUI to the system called Power GUI. This PowerShell tool is mainly for use by system administrators, but it has real potential for those of us who like to think of ourselves as power users. I have not forsaken my pursuit to master Object Oriented Programing Languages (C++ - Java - Python) This PowerShell tool incorporates this knowledge as well. I do see myself leaning towards network administration, so I am on the right path of study. The more I explore IT, the more I see how Microsoft is becoming a dominate force. This PowerShell tool will replace BASH. They have seen the power and elegance of the new UNIX/GNU OS, and they have created systems and applications that match, and in most cases, surpassed the functionality of them. They are not just an OS company. They truly are an IT force to reckon with. Wealth is power. I do hope the GNU/Open source community continues to put out high quality software and systems. If it wasn't for this competition, Microsoft would have no incentive to produce this stuff.

I am heading out to Club Inferno tonight. It is Friday and I have Saturday and Sunday off. This week was a joke. I did the work of two people from start to finish. There wasn't even enough time to breathe. And on top of that, the meat department manager's store squeeze fucked around and did nothing. She was supposed to unload the department's frozen food, get it out, and put it away. Since I was working the regular frozen load, I had to move her shit. The warehouse people never separate the two department's items. It is all frozen to them. It is bad enough with blood sucking corporations squeezing every cent they can out of your hide, but when you have to deal with hillbillies and white trash, it makes for a long day. I refuse to succumb to the notion that this is it for me. I will not spend the remaining work years I have left slaving away at this dead end shit hole. I will master C++/Java/Python. I will master NetBeans 6.5 IDE/Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. I can put up with ignorance in the workplace at a salary of $60,000 - $100,000. I do not believe I would be breaking bread with an ignorant herd of hillbillies at that salary level. It is time to start writing too. Opportunity isn't going to extend a welcome hand to me. It never has. I have to create my own destiny. I have been working at this shit hole for two years now. I can ride out the remainder of 2009. Come 2010, I make my move.

NOTE:
I decided it is best to stay close to the fort till I get that damn water pump fixed. As much as I need to get out of here, I have to stay. I have some beer in the fridge. Yes, I did at one time not too far back decide to never drink again, but I enjoy a beer or two in the privacy of my own home. I would go out to one of the local pubs close by that I can easily walk to, but why bother sitting around with low brows?

General Motors could soon follow Chrysler into bankruptcy protection and the process is unlikely to be simple or swift for either troubled automaker, analysts warned.
If what I am hearing from a recently hired co-worker who was laid off from the GM Janesville plant that closed it's doors here in Wisconsin, bankruptcy is inevitable. Workers who chose to leave the company and not seek reemployment with GM were given a $20,000 severance bonus and a $25,000 voucher towards the purchase of a new GM vehicle. If GM files for bankruptcy they get zero. The philosophy of corporate America hasn't changed in the last 100 years ... "Thanks for your 30 years of dedication and service to the corporation. There's the door. Don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out." Obama can make all the promises of a new beginning and a better future he wants. He gave the banks trillions, and they haven't lent a red cent to anyone. Even Donald Trump said, "you can be the wealthiest individual in the land, and the bank isn't going to loan you any money." How is the US going to pull out of this financial death spiral if we don't start building the new industries that will lead us into the 21st century? Nano-technology, Information Technology, and Bio-technology are the future if you agree with the findings of the National Intelligence Council publication 2025 Global Trends, or the Global Trends 2007-2036 by the UK Ministry of Defence. Those nations that can harness the power of this science will rule those who don't. I think Obama knows this. He is trying to focus America's attention on the importance of science and math. That is why I am teaching myself C++, Java/JavaScript, and Python. These are the computer languages that allow computers to exchange information over the WWW, through hand held applications like cell phones, and analyze the complex information gathered by the data based driven technologies that have become a staple of our National Security (so they want us to believe). Whatever the reasoning, the future lies with technology. Those who master it will have careers. Those who don't will work and be treated like animals.

I didn't accomplish jack today. The weather was sunny and warm, so I took advantage of it. I went for a long walk and soaked up the sunshine. I could still read a few hours before I hit the sack. I dyed my hair. I went with a black/blue tinted look. I wear a cap at work, so I wouldn't be advertising the fact my hair has a bluish tint to it. I always wanted to see what I would look like with mauve colored hair. I like it. It looks black unless a strong light is shinning directly on it, so it isn't that radical. I am sure management where I work would object to it, but they aren't going to even really notice. I wore a cap I have at home, and looking at the back in a mirror, it does show some. I don't think it will create a stir. If it does, they can bite me. There is a chick who works the cashier who has multi colored strands of hair, not to mention a number of facial piercing. A guy working in the dairy has piecing on his face and the back of his neck. They can't discriminate. If they do, I'll press the issue. Collecting unemployment the remainder of this year would be too good to be true. I know I am making decent money, but I am not happy. That is why I am planning ahead implementing an opportunity to enter the IT market.

May 2, 2009

I was going to head out to Club Inferno tonight for the monthly Leather and Lace extravaganza but decided to stay in. It isn't a prudent move to be traveling any farther from home than necessary till I get the water pump fixed on my van. And besides that, there isn't anyone there I really need or want to see. I can be more productive tomorrow if I get a good night's rest. I have a lot of reading to do. There are eight months left in 2009, and I need every hour of that time to master the knowledge set before me. The physical demands are another story. This would be an appropriate epitaph for my tombstone, "he waited till the last minute."

May 1, 2009

New month, new blog, and do I dare say ... new hope? Hope is for people who have nothing left to believe in. If you have a foundation with set goals to achieve, you don't rely on hope to have them come to fruition. It is a matter of time and the will to implement. NW Territories sent me the silver bar I ordered. The delivery procedure did not go according to plan, but I have it. They did not send me an e-mail notice telling me the product was shipped along with the proper tracking number. But all is well as the saying goes. I am waiting to get my state tax refund and my state retirement distribution. That will give me enough money to buy a 100 Troy Oz bar. I look at it this way. This money I am spending is cash I am not spending on entertainment. A wise and frugal person has to look out for themselves financially. In the present global economy, it is every man for themselves. You have to create your own means of employment for all practical purposes, and if you have brain one, you realize that investing your retirement money with the banks in the forms of paper investments is just too risky. These greedy bastards will steal every last nickle they can. You go to bed with a portfolio worth $100,000 and you wake up the next morning with a portfolio worth $25,000. You don't have the time to wait till the market recoups your wealth because by that time, you'll be in the grave. By actually holding the physical silver, I have the opportunity to control to a certain degree my own financial destiny.
