I still find it hard to believe I am watching Death ravage the globe on the scale it is. I will sit tight for the month of April. I do not plan on leaving my room. I might have to walk to the corner store and buy a gallon of milk. I will need a loaf of bread soon. Taking things one day at a time. Stay safe.

The GOP told Trump it was OK to withhold aid from people who didn't do what he told them to do when they didn't impeach him for threatening Ukraine. Now Trump is withholding aid from state Governors who don't do what he tells them to do id est "kiss my ass." Why is everyone surprised? This isn't a criticism, just an observation. In our hearts, we all know that the life of a human being has never been worth two cents. This is the price of building a civilization. The needs of the State a.k.a. the Corporation come first. Just watch Fox News. They will fill you in on the details.

I was watching the television. Nothing good on to divert my attention away from the global social and economic meltdown. I see people are trying to help one another, but that isn't going to last forever if it comes down to a naked grab for survival. This is where things are headed. I find it hard to believe that Washington can't see this. I think Trump is waiting for the 'green light' to proclaim martial law. If New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Detroit -- just to name a few -- descend into social anarchy, he will. We may be a month or less from this scenario.

I don't know if I will turn the television back on. I am sure I will, but there isn't anything happening that I don't know already. I can check the Internet for news. I can no longer bear to listen to the President. I listened to him question Governor Andrew M. Cuomo of New York concerning his state's need for 30,000 ventilators. Trump said he didn't think he needed that many; besides, they cost money, as much as a car. Forget about the dead bodies being hauled to and stored in refrigeration trunks. New York isn't in any serious medical emergency. It was horrifying to hear Dr. Deborah Birx backing up the President on his assessment that New York has ICU beds that are't being used. That isn't the concern. The concern is the onslaught on people that are infected now, and will require an ICU bed in the next two or three days. This is what the Governor is telling Washington and they are ignoring him. These dead people can't return to work and help fire up the economy, so who gives a shit?

I think it is important for me to remember something; I am in no position to pass judgement on anyone, and that includes the President.
At this point in time, it doesn't matter what should have been done or when. If I had to do what Trump is doing now, I'd be on my knees in fives minutes crying like a baby. I hope it never becomes necessary for Washington to declare martial law. As bad as things get, I pray that the social order remains intact. No more criticizing, for now.

  It may be possible that over 66,000 people will be confirmed positive for COVID-19 by March 25, 2020
  and that over 600 will be dead because of it. These are not promising figures.
  
  I am not making predictions. All I have done is project the probable figures forward using the past rate of infection and death as a baseline. You can set your watch to this virus. There is no mystery as to what the coming infection rates are going to be and how many people are going to die. It is simple arithmetic. It is obvious the country has not even come close to reaching a turning point where we can see a flattening of this terrible infection spike of numbers.

The number of people who died from COVID-19 increased 10 fold in one week. The number of people known to be infected increased by 60,000. How can anyone in their right mind think we are seeing daylight? How can people at Fox News sit there, look me in the eye, and tell me I have a patriotic duty to lay down my life for the US economy? I am talking about people like myself over 60 years of age. I am also seeing other reporters and so called experts and professional people ( younger than I am ) blowing the same horn. A battle cry is being sounded to save the American economy from collapse. It won't even take much of a sacrifice. All that needs to be done is round up the elderly and put them to death. With the high risk group eliminated, we can fire up the grill and start enjoying the American Dream again. The country doesn't need old people anymore. We have become a burden on the wealth of the Nation.

To answer the question, NO! We can not go back to things as they were before COVID-19, and fire up the US economy by Easter. But what I think and what the professional health care specialist think doesn't amount to a hill of beans. The dead in New York City are being loaded into refrigeration trucks. Elected officials in Louisiana are now saying, "allowing Mardi Gras to go ahead might of been a mistake." New Orleans is going to turn into a graveyard. What is happening in New York is going to start happening in New Orleans in two weeks, or less, and with greater magnitude. This epidemic in the United States is a health crisis unseen in the lifetimes of this generation. If we strategically open up segments of the country to conduct business as usual, millions of people are going to die. I never thought I would see with my own eyes, and hear with my own ears, that the economy takes precedence over human life. I did today watching the Trump Task-force Briefing. According to the President, people who come down with COVID-19 don't get that sick. He knows two people who got sick and they told the President that didn't feel that bad. I heard the President say a day or two ago that people who come down with COVID-19 could contunie going to work while they recovered. It's no big deal. He is still trying to peddle the fake news angle.

I can't do anything to change the President's mind. He can't accept the world as it is. He can only see the world as he wants to see it. We are in trouble. When I heard that the Stimulus Bill is going through, I thought, "the Boyd Corporation is calling the Gov. of Iowa right now telling her they want the Diamond Jo Casino reopened." There are billions of dollars coming into the hands of people, and they want all of it. I think Trump would agree with them. Iowa will be on the low risk area, and there is no reason not to start packing people into the casinos like sardines.

I have done what I can. All the "data" is here on this page. It paints a dire picture. I will move on. I don't plan on posting any COVID-19 related information; not to the degree I have this month. I plan on getting back to training my mind, body, and spirit. I have neglected this far too long. I have been irresponsible. I have done nothing.

I need a break from the doom and gloom of the present moment. I can not find anything positive coming out of the television newscasts,
so I have to look for something uplifting elsewhere. How can you not love this picture?

I will tell you what I don't need. I don't need Robert De Niro watching me. "Hey Robert, you want to watch my back?
Send me some money." I also don't need celebrities telling me how to wash my hands or wipe my ass.

A pictures speaks a thousand words.

I watched the "Trump is the second greatest human being that ever walked the Earth -- right behind Jesus Christ" show. I didn't watch it for long. I saw Dr. Fauci standing there, so I am satisfied the wheels are not going to fall off the country at the moment.

I am informed. I get it. I know what is coming down the pipe. I don't need to watch the latest Trump television production. The contestant who shovels the most manure will be awarded the golden shovel trophy; Dr. Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx excluded. They are the only people standing between us and Armageddon. All I can do is sit tight and hang on to my balls for dear life. This is going to be a very tragic year. I hope it does not go beyond this and enter into oblivion.

Washington (CNN)Pressure has been intensifying for days on the Senate to pass a massive stimulus package to respond
to the economic fallout of the coronavirus , but Monday came and went without much action.

After four straight days of marathon negotiations, the Trump administration and senators again failed to secure an agreement
on a roughly $2 trillion plan to provide a jolt to the economy and give aid to hard-hit workers and industries.
But leaders emerged from late-night meetings in the Capitol optimistic that a deal could be struck Tuesday despite
tweets from President Donald Trump trashing the deal and baselessly accusing Democrats of siding with "the virus."
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who has been negotiating the deal, remained optimistic and said late Monday,
"We are hopeful that this could be closed out tomorrow."

So there is no stimulus bill in the pipline to be considered, yet; close but no cigar.
If this is the case, why is the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbing? No fundamental economic data is
driving the market. Everything is shut down. The only driving agent at this moment is pure speculation.
Makes me wonder. How prevelant is pure speculation on a day to day basis?

The speculation and the hopes based on it revolve around the conclusion that American workers will be
goose stepping back in line to the salt mines in a week, maybe less. From what I understand, Trump can not turn
things back on, with a wave of his magic wand, even if he wanted to -- which he does. The states shut it down. Trump
can not turn back on something he never turned off. The states have the power to decide if business will open or not,
and at the end of the day, the governors of their respective states will have the last say as to when business will open.

This is just another glaring example of the make believe world the President is living in.
Through the power of his own will, he will defeat "the invisible enemy."
The only thing our President really cares about is the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
I was beginning to have a glimer of hope things had changed. That hope quickly vanished
with the cold and harsh light of reality.

How great is an economic system that falls to pieces in seven days if no one spends money or feeds the assembly lines?

I've seen and heard enough on the subject of COVID-19 to reach a conclusion on what I believe it is and where it came from.
I need to start exercising and keep my stamina firing on all cylinders. I need to stay positive. I will continue my studies on the UNIX
operating system. I am even thinking about tackling JavaScript, and looking at the "modern" web programming paradigm. Life is good.
The way things are looking, it is getting shorter. Life is too short as it is. I have to keep this in mind as things unfold.
Each and everyday moving forward for me is a blessing.

I just watched the Trump Coronovirus Task-force briefing
for today. I will not lay on the ground and curl up into a ball, but I am no longer going to think I can find anything worth
listening to from this source. The President has weighed the scales, and what are the lives of 10-15 million Americans, or more, compared to the health and well being of the great American corporations. Trump said, "Americans love our corporations because they are paying us the big bucks."

Listening to the President speak, I realize it is an honor and a privileged to report to work each day and get paid a living wage, a wage that barely keeps you alive and well. We are talking about a wage that keeps you healthy enough to just barely have the strength it takes to report to work. Americans love their corporations so much, they will even go to work when they are sick. Americans do not want to sit at home, they long for the days when they could go to work and get horse whipped into producing even more goods and services for the benefit of the great American corporation.

I can't listen to this rot anymore. I am beginning to hear people on the major news media programs supporting the idea that going back to "things as they were" is the best path of action. I am hearing the phrase, "the cure is worse than the disease." I want to mention this because I think it is crucial. Doctor Anthony Fauci was not present at the briefing today.

before I change my mind. The information they are presenting, at this early stage
of the pandemic, hammers home what is happening today. This is information not being reported by the Trump
Coronovirus Task-force. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,
is not presenting these findings. Sometimes, it is better not to know the whole truth. That is what fightens me.

I have never been the kind of person to spread fear. I am not a fear monger-er.
When I come across documentation like this, it makes my skin crawl.
This is the kind of documentation I feel must be archived. Call it what you will,
like it or not for good or bad, we are in a New World Order. Life as I knew it has changed and things will never be the same.
For the good of society, Israel has undertaken draconian technological measures to track the spread of the coronovirus.
Political machinery is being put into place on a global scale. The trouble with these machines is they take on lives
of their own. History teaches us the lives they take on are detrimental to human rights and personal freedoms.

What are these figures telling us?
The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 increased 709% in seven days.
The number of people who have died from COVID-19 increased 400% in seven days.

It may be possible that over 66,000 people will be confirmed positive for COVID-19 by March 25, 2020
and that over 600 will be dead because of it. These are not promising figures.
The comparisons that the United States was on a similar projection as Italy are holding true.

This plan outlines the United States Government (USG) coordinated federal response activities for COVID -19
in the United States (U.S.)

According to this newly released document:
"A pandemic will last 18 months or longer and could include multiple waves of illness."
I shudder at the thought that I may be holed up here in my room for a very long time.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynold declared a "public health disaster emergency" this morning and ordered the closure at noon of the state's bars and dine-in services at restaurants in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Carry-out, curbside and drive-thru food service still will be allowed.

The declaration also closes all fitness centers, theaters, casinos and gaming facilities, and senior citizen centers and adult day care facilities.

All the closures will be in effect through March 31.

If I was still employed at the Diamond Jo working the table games, I'd be seriously concerned with these developments. The Boyd Family has their own problems to worry about, and it isn't like they ever really gave a shit about the people who work for them. I would not be expecting them to make any meaningful effort to help me in the upcoming months.

Their quest to suck nickles from the pockets of every human being walking upright has put them $3.8 billion in the red. They just finished a grand buying spree acquiring casino properties in several different states. They signed a deal with Fanduel to run a sportsbook at the Dubuque, Iowa casino. They signed a deal with the state of Illinois to get a piece of their non casino slot monopoly. People were setting up trailers and cramming slots into them like there was no tomorrow. These private slot joints were cutting into casino bottom lines. If you can't beat them, join them. With the majority of their 24 casinos nation wide shut down till further notice, they will have difficulties financing this huge debt. This has not happened often, but I am in the right place at the right time. I count my blessings. The down side is I may have to live here in my room till hell freezes over.

All these people around Trump are walking on egg shells because they don't want to rile the president.
They are all doing this song and dance to keep him from blowing a gasket. I said this a few days ago.
The president is a bully. Thank you Dr. Fauci for being in our corner. He is the man to go to for the straight dope.
There is hope. If he gets fired, the shit will hit the fan. I think it is going to anyway, but with people like Fauci
in the front lines, we have a fighting chance.

I went to the grocery store yesterday and bought $80 worth of food. I plan on camping out in my room the next 30 days.
I think I am doing the right thing. I am 64 years old with weak lungs. If I develop COVID-19, I am a dead man.
I see on the television that many Americans have decided to do the same thing; self quarantine themselves even though they are not showing any signs
of being infected. I am lucky. I am retired so I won't be losing a job. I will get my monthly government stipend, so I will have enough money
to stay alive. Here is a video I posted to YouTube about what I am doing and why.

I listened to President Trump's address to the nation concerning COVID-19. I am pleased that health care officials, or whom ever it was that turned him around, were successful. The president's view on this pandemic has shifted 180 degrees in the past few days.

• this virus is a pandemic and it is serious
• if people are feeling ill, they need to stay home
• people are more important than the Dow Jones Industrial Average
• the stock market will take care of itself, after the health crisis is in check

The ability to screen and test people is still lacking and this issue was not addressed. The COVID-19 virus has already run rampant in the population, and the infection rate and the number of people who will die is going to increase. The strain on hospitals and care centers will overwhelm the system and bring it to a griding halt.

I hope all is well that ends well. I hope the government is firing on all cylinders now, and the health care professionals can suppress the spread of this virus. If they can do this, they will get the time they need to surgically place the proper resources in the right place at the right time. This is the first step in getting a handle on this dangerous situation. If they can not do this, we are in deep trouble.

The number of people who have died from COVID-19 increased 100% in four days.

These numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. We aren't going to really know how many people
are going to get sick and die for at least a couple weeks, or more. The flattening of the infection curve
is an unknown varible in this equation. We are facing serious bad news in the coming weeks.
If the infection continue to rise at the rates of March 7th to March 11th, people are going to go berserk.

I am going to self isolate myself for the next couple weeks, just to be on the safe side.
I need to see for myself just how bad this is going to get before the rate of infection subsides.

These same people are telling me this is all a ploy to discredit Donald Trump. I think the collective I.Q. of this nation just hit a new low. This pandemic has nothing to do with Donald Trump or the upcoming presidential election. This is a disease. It doesn't have a mind or a personal agenda. I am in shock at the levels of stupidity I am seeing. I can't believe things have gotten this bad, but it looks as if they have.
