This is an excellent podcast series on Inside the Eye with the Fetch. He talks to the "Celtic Rebel". I remember listening to Celtic Rebel sometime back. I thought he was too intense. He talks to the Fetch about how his perspective has evolved from the beginning of his career to the present. Mind blowing ...

I laugh when I think I can actually take a vacation and not being concerned about doing something. I was going to enjoy June, not worry about having a job, and heal. I have healed. I have a agenda. From where I am sitting, I will never be able to punch a time clock again. I can't let the corporation dictate shit to me.

I was physically and mentally more beat up than I thought. I've been feeling a little low the past couple days. Walking away from the hostile work environment was the best thing I could have done for myself. Doing what is right isn't always the easiest.

I did apply for unemployment yesterday. I might have a shot at something.

The past couple days have really opened my eyes to things happening in computer technology. Bitcoin is at the head of the recent list. It's insane. It's beautiful. It's viable. If Uncle Sam wasn't so busy, they'd shut this down. Their financial resources are thinner. They aren't as thin as mine, but they haven't got cash readily available to do everything. This Bitcoin isn't illegal. It isn't a scam. The digital gold model was clean too. The underground, wild west economy of 2003 to 2005 turned it. It wasn't the model. I have seen video of these guys running servers and mining bitcoin. It can be done.
A Stoughton man who allegedly was causing a disturbance outside a State Street bar early Saturday was taken into custody by Madison police, but not without a fight.

Matthew Schollmeyer, 24, was tentatively charged with disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing, following his arrest at about 1 a.m. Saturday at Whiskey River Saloon, 552 State Street, Madison police said. According to the police news release, Schollmeyer cut in line ahead of others and was belligerent to staff when he was asked to leave. A police officer warned him not to come back to Whiskey River that night or he would be arrested. "The officer went back to the squad car and Schollmeyer stood in front of the squad car and continually elevated his middle fingers, attempting to convey a message, before he got back in line again," said Madison police spokesman Officer Howard Payne.

Officers then tried to take Schollmeyer into custody. "He screamed racial epithets at the officers and resisted arrest on all levels," Payne said. "Other officers were called to deal with him while he yelled into the police radio that he was being arrested for no reason and no additional officers were needed." Schollmeyer also attempted to head butt an officer before being hauled off to jail, Payne said.

"Alcohol was thought to be a factor in the behavior that Schollmeyer exhibited," Payne said.
I hate to say this, but morons like this give Stoughton a bad name. There was a murder here last year, still unsolved. I told people at work (when I was working at that PIT) the crime would never be solved because there were too many suspects. There seems to be an over abundance of people here with more time on their hands than brains.

New potential Twitter-related troubles arose for Rep. Anthony Weiner on Friday, after Delaware police reportedly spoke with a 17-year-old high school girl about "direct online communications" she's had with the disgraced congressman.

The media is using the same vocabulary to describe Representative Anthony Weiner as they did when they were covering the Gary Glitter fiasco. Welcome to the 21st century where instant global communication is Judge, Jury, and Executioner.

Hot of the Press!
“Congressman Weiner departed this morning to seek professional treatment to focus on becoming a better husband and healthier person,” said the spokeswoman, Risa Heller. “In light of that, he will request a short leave of absence from the House of Representatives so that he can get evaluated and map out a course of treatment to make himself well.
You heard it here first.

Silver took a pounding today. Just brutal. Any news that the US Dollar is recovering sends the markets into a feeding frenzy.
The dollar traded higher compared to major rivals on Friday. The dollar index /quotes/zigman/1652083 DXY +0.91% , which compares the U.S. unit against a basket of six other currencies, stood at 74.710, up from 74.200 in North American trading late Thursday.
All of the small time buyers who got in at $45-49 are running scared. I got in at $36.19 50 OZ July 15 delivery (physical). I am positioned. It is a shame I may have to sell a large percentage of my holdings sometime in the future. The next three months will tell.

June 8, 2011

Well it didn't take long for the shit to hit the fan. I just looked at a picture of Representative Anthony Weiner's balls and scrotum out of the holster. Not that I am excited about looking at another man's dick, but this is a train wreck. There is only one logical path that will be followed, if this guy still has a functioning brain cell. He will admit himself to a facility where he will seek treatment for his addiction problem. With the help of his loving wife and family, and Jesus, he hopes to make a swift and complete recovery. To think people are getting paid large sums of money to come up with this kind of political damage control.

I have a picture. I have a link to YouTube showing the picture. I am not going to post either. The bottom line is I am in no position to judge this man. Yes, I called him a poor slob. I probably shouldn't, but I did. I am just as weak as the next man. And, in the final analysis, I'm just as stupid.

June 7, 2011

Representative Anthony Weiner, a Democrat of New York, arrived at a news conference yesterday. After several days of denial, he confessed to sending a bulging-underpants photo of himself to a young woman.

The media is racking this guy over the coals. I have said this. If you are on Twitter, stay focused on why you are there in the first place. If you are using Twitter to stay in contact with other people in a chosen profession, that's great. If you are using the same service looking for people to engage in lewd behavior with, it's not great. This poor slob just flushed his political career down the toilet.

This is a good quote. It's clean.
This isn't even Shakespearean, it's theater of the absurd. The rule in politics when you do something wrong or stupid is get it out, get it out early because at least you get some credit for getting it out. He kept the story alive, and then after he bleeds for a week, then he decides to come clean. Really bad.
--Baruch College professor Doug Muzzio
Since we are on the subject of lewd behavior, here is a dandy story.

Dane County deputies arrested six people Monday in Token Creek County Park on tentative charges of lewd and lascivious behavior or vagrancy after complaints came in about illegal sexual activity in the park.

Those arrested include Charles Cleary, 55, of Madison; Ronald Deane, 58, of Deerfield; Jean Bord, 41, of Oshkosh; and Glenn Lindert, 61, of Rio, each on a tentative charge of lewd and lascivious behavior; and Steven Vogel, 60, of Stoughton; and Robert Gentile, 67, of Madison, on a tentative charge of vagrancy. Both charges are county ordinance offenses with fines of $326.50.
Hundt said the lewd and lascivious behavior citation is for the public and indecent exposure of genitals or the pubic area, while the ordinal definition of vagrancy in part identifies a person who, in public, solicits another to commit a crime against sexual morality.

Media coverage of you in a public park looking for man on man sex is a real kick in the balls. Some of these guys might be married. I look at Craig's List. I see there is a huge demand for homosexual hook ups. People are just asking for someone to cut their nuts off.

June 6, 2011

I'm being bad. I am playing hooky from my studies. The weather is bright, sunny, and hot. It has been a long time coming. I know time is of the essence, but I have some time. Trouble is, I've been staying up way too late watching crap on Hulu. I wake up at noon burned out. Tonight I will change my sleeping habits, and the other proclivities that hinder my success. I will be getting up early. I want to walk down the trail I like. There is a good place there to train. I can do this every morning. After this, come home, take a shower, and make a pot of coffee. Tomorrow I start reading Weisfeld. I will take my time and let it all soak in. This is all I have to do. It isn't difficult. I have to fit time in to also start hitting the A+ materials. These certifications (A+ Network+ CCNA*) are needed on the resume. If I can master Powershell in conjunction, I will have mastered myself. Of all the arts, language reigns supreme.

*CCNA Voice would be sweet. This would be the fourth. VoIP is big. Smartphones are replacing computers. Configuring servers for Blackberry, etc. is a niche worth watching. Microsoft is also getting into the smartphone market. The master of Powershell can write his own ticket.

June 5, 2011

Today is Sunday and it was a nice day to get outside. This is the last day of my short vacation. Tomorrow I will stoke the fire. This is going to be a great month. I'm still damaged, but I will heal. I have the time. I have clarity. I have everything I need. Unless something outrageous catches my eye, I will most likely go into a self imposed hibernation. This is what I intend to read, cover to cover:
The Object-Oriented Thought Process, Third Edition
Matt A. Weisfeld (2009)

Foundations of Object-Oriented Languages
Kim B. Bruce (2002)

Semantics of Object-Oriented Languages
Ph.D thesis Mario Wolczko (1988)
Found some old film of Ozzy from 1970. Black Sabbath did Iron Man, War Pigs, and Fairies Wear Boots live at this performance in Paris. What is totally cool is that I saw Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne in 1970 here in the USA. I remember mentioning that venue I visited in Illinois. These guys look exactly as I remember them. I laugh when I think about that because I was 15 years old and stoned out of my gourd. George Harrison said, "40 years is nothing." He was so right.

Life is good.

June 4, 2011

Here is a news blurb I don't like seeing.

President Obama downplayed the horrible jobs report and poor economy despite a dismal report that came out yesterday. This jobs report casts serious doubts that our economic recovery will continue. There were just 54,000 jobs added last month and unemployment rose to 9.1%.
My timing is impeccable. As I am found of saying, "Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead!" It is stories like this that keep the jackboot to your throat.

June 3, 2011

I am not against making a living. I am opposed to economic slavery. I despise parasites. I have to work for myself. There just isn't any way around this. I know there is grant money out there. I can teach basic IT classes at a prison. I can teach classes to prepare for IT Certification. I can teach classes about Powershell. I can do this now. It will only get better. This is just possibility. I have some solid information to base my conclusions on where the y money is going to be in IT & Powershell. I'm years away from this. Come Fall, I'll will have honed enough skills and have the Certifications under my belt. I was going to sit and take June off. I can't do it. I have several OOP language manuscripts to read. It always comes back to language with me. I whine and complain that I don't have any skill. I do. What I didn't have was the time. Mental and physical fatigue robbed me of mental and spiritual clarity. How can you put a $ on that?

My next door neighbor is insane. I knew there was a reason why I have not spent a great deal of time chatting with him. I have lived here doing my thing. I don't socialize with folks just to spend idle time. I have things to do. I stopped and talked with this fool a few minutes this afternoon. The guy is loony tunes. He was telling me he was a past member of a motorcycle gang. If anyone got in his way, they disappeared, or members of their family did. He is one of these "been there, did that" crowd. The chip on his shoulder has metastasized and is growing into his ass aka his brain.

It has been a week since I excised the malignant tumor sucking the life out of me these past four years. These past seven days just disappeared. I knew I needed a month to decompress from this ordeal. I will be immersing myself into the IT universe shortly. Once I do, there is no turning back. I was reading some news stories about the present state of the US & the Global economy; two sides of the same coin. Both are in the shitter. Was telling the Roundy's Corporation to take their slave wage job and shove it up their ass a mistake? No, it wasn't. I refuse to second guess myself on this decision. I know this is the right move. I refuse to roll over and play dead. I have great things to accomplish before I lay my head to rest. I told myself I was going to relax the month of June. Plans have changed. I have some Object Oriented Programing books to read this month. When I finish them, I can go back and hammer Powershell. This path was confirmed on a podcast I was recently listening to. The crux; IT professionals need to be able to think in an OOP frame of mind. They need to master the grammar and syntax of the scripting language they use. When they are typing, they need to be thinking correctly and use the proper syntax. It is full circle. It has come back to language. One other note ... I'm seeing the number 55. I see it on the Internet. I do not believe this to be coincidence. I know I'm here at the right time and place; right here on the brink of extinction. *Note ... I received a PIN number today for my new ATM card. I'll give you one guess what number is in there.

Here are the pictures I said I would upload of my Van and my Buick. This Riveria is the nicest car I have ever owned.

For posterity. It's a private joke.

June 1, 2011

Excellent day! The weather was perfect. Took a nice walk outside in the sunshine and the fresh air. Cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom. Feels good to get things in order.

I am considering the old 7-10-30 thing; study IT material seven days a week, ten hours a day for thirty days. At this juncture, that would be a concentration of A+ and Powershell. I am not going to give up on it. I know this IT angle is a long shot, but it is a shot. I am confident I can get a decent, computer related job working with happier people than the toilet I have spent the last four years in.
