Seymour Hersh broke the story of CIA's illegal domestic operations with a front page story in the New York Times on December 22, 1974 ("Huge C.I.A. Operation Reported in U.S. Against Antiwar Forces, Other Dissidents in Nixon Years"), writing that "a check of the CIA's domestic files ordered last year… produced evidence of dozens of other illegal activities… beginning in the nineteen fifties, including break-ins, wiretapping, and the surreptitious inspection of mail."

Ten days after the appearance of Hersh's New York Times story, DCI William Colby tells President Ford how his predecessor James Schlesinger (then serving as Secretary of Defense) ordered CIA staffers to compile the "skeletons" in the Agency's closet, such as surveillance of student radicals, illegal wiretaps, assassination plots, and the three year confinement of a Soviet defector, Yuri Nosenko.

Why doesn't it surprise me that Sy Hersh was the man who broke this story? Is he the only bastion of investigative journalism standing between the right to know and the blatant and arrogant disregard of the elite forces hell bent on doing as they please? I hate to think what the world would be like without people like Sy Hersh. One man can make a difference, and he has proved that time and time again. It took 32 and a half years for the document to be released after James Schlesinger ordered CIA staffers to compile the "skeletons" in the Agency's closet. How much of the released document is spin and white wash can only be speculated. But the release of this information is significant regardless of the time it took to materialize, or it's content.

The World Drug Report says more than 90% of illegal opium, which is used to make heroin, comes from Afghanistan. It says cultivation of opium poppies increased dramatically in the country, despite the presence of more than 30,000 international troops there. The report says Afghanistan is unlikely to regain real security until the production of illegal drugs is tackled. This information is from a BBC news article dated today.

What is up with the conflicting information? Looks like the Spin Doctors need to get on the same page with the Press. After reading the first paragraph of this report, it seems that it is a white wash job. I would have to read the entire 282 page report to make an honest evaluation, but right from the get go something sounds fishy. I don't have the time or the inclination to make that evaluation. I have come to my own informed conclusions on Afghanistan's poppy production, and I have posted articles here to substantiate the BBC report that poppy production is out of control. Or should we say it is sky rocketing. Out of control is a misnomer considering the fact that it is being controlled and it is thriving.

It is Sunday and I have the day off. I work Monday, and have Tuesday off. Then it is going to be a long week with the Fourth of July week-end. I work two ten-hour-days. The money is ok. The work is ok, but it can be hectic. If the other two people I work with cooperate, then it is not hectic. If they fuck off, I am left holding the bag. I talked to my boss about it, and he knows it is happening. That doesn't mean things will be corrected. Such is life, and the nature of being a slave in an Elite dominated world. Speaking of elite, Powerball is $100 million next drawing. Badger 5 is $90,000 plus tonight. Any one of those hits would be a financial miracle! If i won the Badger 5, I could retire early. If I hit the Powerball, I can retire immediately. How sweet that would be.

I downloaded a report about the Great Firewall of China. Looks interesting and I think I will read it. I also saw an article about a suicide bombing that involved the PPK. I have a library of information about the PPK I downloaded for further review. I suspect that the PPK will become a major news item in the near future. It isn't one now because the US involvement in Iraq is taking the headlines. But rest assured, this is going to be a major problem that we will be involved with.

I went to the grocery store and bought $70 worth of provisions. That should hold me for awhile. I forgot to buy toilet paper! One thing for certain, you don't want to get caught short on the ass wipe. I will have to make a special trip back there just to get some. I stayed home last night and watched TV. I thought about going out, but I am glad I stayed in. Socializing with white trash hillbillies isn't appealing.

Today is the beginning of a very long week. I am going on a mental holiday. No, I am not planning on turning off my common sense, and go nuts. I am going to take these next seven days off in the sense that I am not going to concern myself with thoughts like "what kind of job should I try and get?" "what am I supposed to do?" "what's going to happen to me?" ...

I planned on getting mentally and physically back into the ball game. I need to take my own advice. I know what to do. I can't make any more excuses. Time is something I do not have an over abundance of. I understand Time, and I understand it's power. By harnessing the Energies available, I will create what I Will. I am feeling good about what lies ahead. The spark hasn't ignited the Flame, but it will. And this time, there is no turning back, no excuses, no room for failure to Act.

Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said the decision to praise the "apostate" showed Islamophobia among British officials.

Mr Hosseini told a press conference: "Giving a medal to someone who is among the most detested figures in the Islamic community is... a blatant example of the anti-Islamism of senior British officials. The measure that has taken place for paying tribute to this apostate and detested figure will definitely put British statesmen and officials at odds with Islamic societies, the emotions and sentiments of which have again been provoked."

He added that the knighthood showed that the process of insulting Islamic sanctities was not accidental but was being supported by some Western countries.

I did some searching on the Internet to see who Paul Gardner is. He teaches at the University of Saint Andrews in the psychology department. The University is located in Scotland. According to their web page, "Paul Gardner is a Principal Teaching Fellow with responsibility for teaching Junior Honours students good experimental design and analysis across the broad range of topics within psychology." I guess that gives him the authority to tell Muslims all over the world what to think and how to feel being he is an expert. This is just another example of some Infidel shooting his mouth off without a glimmer of the potential consequences. Anything to get your name in the newspaper. Good press for St. Andrews. I hate to harp on this, but can't anyone smell the smoke? When are non Muslim people going to wise up and realize that their opinions are worthless to Muslims. Muslims don't need or want Infidels telling them anything. It is that simple. We are devils in league with Satan. This is my last post on the Rushdie matter. I found an excellent article by Abid Ullah Jan He is the author of Afghanistan : The Genesis of the Final Crusade. I for one will not be shocked at the retaliation that is coming in the UK, and here in the US. It is not a question of if it will happen. I fear it is only a question of when it will. I know people think I am paranoid and that I am pessimistic. I see the world as it is. I will continue to work diligently to make it a better place. But I refuse to live my life blindly being led by spin doctors and manipulative sorcery. In fact, I have seen enough and I have read enough. I have had enough! The only reading I am doing for some time is that material that nourishes my spirit. I have a mountain of material on physical fitness to pour over and to incorporate. My yoga materials alone will take years to read, and many more years to absorb. The political nonsense of this present age is a rotting, stinking carcass long overdue due for burial. I refuse to jump in the grave with it. It is time for a clean break.

History has taught us nothing. The greatest men and woman of the ages have tried to teach us wisdom, love, and peace. Humanity could care less. There is no profit in it. Ingo Swann is correct. Humanity refuses to let go of it's comfort zone. Life is such a hell hole to live in man must create a fantasy world of emotional security built on a foundation of ignorance to survive. What does that say about our place in the Universe? Is this the world we have created? I once said that the greatest contribution mankind can make is to annihilate ourselves. At this point in time, I am leaning towards that sentiment again. In order to distance myself from this conclusion, I am going to create my own little comfort zone. Morons, white trash, idiots, scum bags, and the great unwashed are not welcome. If that includes you, too fucking bad. I will have my bass guitar, my vision, and the satisfaction of knowing I am intellectually superior to the great majority of maggots that populate the planet. Those who wish to better themselves are welcome here. The rest of you can kiss my ass. I give this last tid bit of information to anyone who wants it.

Now that Salman Rushdie has received the OBE, all the BBC reports refer to him as "Sir Salman." Unfortunately, many Muslims still hold a grudge against Rushdie for the controversial book he authored in 1988 - The Satanic Verses. Here is just one of the many articles writen in the past week that raises the spector of suicide bombings and potential violence in the UK as a result of the decision to knight Salman Rushdie.

A fatwa against Sir Salman was issued in 1989 in Iran, calling for his execution. Iranian conservatives on Tuesday criticised Britain's Queen Elizabeth over the decision to confer a knighthood on Mr Rushdie.

"Salman Rushdie has turned into a hated corpse which cannot be resurrected by any action," First Deputy Speaker Mohammad Reza Bahonar told Iran's parliament.

Like Iran, Pakistan is an Islamic republic with an overwhelmingly Muslim population which saw violent protests against The Satanic Verses in 1989.

Sir Salman, 59, was one of almost 950 people to appear on the Queen's Birthday Honours list, which is aimed at recognising outstanding achievement.

The controversial Indian-born author's fourth book - The Satanic Verses in 1988 - describes a cosmic battle between good and evil and combines fantasy, philosophy and farce. It was immediately condemned by the Islamic world because of its perceived blasphemous depiction of the Prophet Muhammad. It was banned in many countries with large Muslim communities and in 1989 Ayatollah Khomeini, Iran's spiritual leader, issued a fatwa. In 1998, the Iranian government said it would no longer support the fatwa, but some groups have said it is irrevocable.

I have a copy of this manuscript. I don't know if I will ever read it. I downloaded a .PDF version off the Internet. I would like to know exactly what he said that has pissed so many Muslims off. I think there is a lesson to be learned here. Offences against the Muslim world are never forgotten whether these offences are real or perceived. Rushdie has had death threats hanging over his head since 1989, and this is for words he penned on paper. Do you think the Muslim world will ever forgive the US for the rapes and murders committed by military personal in Iraq? What about the torture of Muslims in Abu Ghraib prison? No, we are screwed. Regardless of pomp and circumstance, the Muslims are going to cut our Nation's throat if it takes a 1000 years to accomplish.

Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong was disbarred Saturday for breaking more than two dozen rules of professional conduct in his handling of the Duke University rape case. Duke had suspended Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty and Dave Evans after they were charged last year with raping a stripper at an off-campus party. The university also canceled the team's season and forced their coach to resign.

"We welcomed their exoneration and deeply regret the difficult year they and their families have had to endure," the school said Monday in a statement. "These young men and their families have been the subject of intense scrutiny that has taken a heavy toll."

The allegations were debunked in April by state prosecutors, who said the players were the innocent victims of a "tragic rush to accuse" by Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong. The players' families racked up millions of dollars of legal bills in their defense, and appear likely to file a lawsuit against Nifong.

The players said in a joint statement that they hoped the agreement would "begin to bring the Duke family back together again."

I had read in an earlier news report that Nifong withheld crucial DNA evidence for months that would have exonerated these men. If that is the case, I am sure that a civil suit against him will be a lock. If I was a member of this guy's family, I would watch him closely. Having your life and your career destroyed like this is a dangerous situation. It is easy to think that the only way out is at the end of a rope, or to blow your brains out. The newspapers are full of stories like that.

One day can make a difference. I am feeling better today. I have tomorrow off, and I am going to start a physical/spiritual fitness routine that I desperately need. I have a phone number of an attorney to call in regards to my inquiry concerning bankruptcy. I don't know if I will make the call tomorrow, but I really do need to consider the possibility. I have some great writing from Swami Krishnananda to dive into. The man has insights into meditation and mind control that I need to master. There was a time I was in a better space, but I got lazy and let it slip out of my grasp. Now, it is time to get back into a reality of that caliber again. I know it isn't going to be easy. Things of value never are easy to acquire. Once I get the handle on this, I won't let go this time. Was reading in the newspaper that the woman found buried in a backyard in Portage Wisconsin was strangled. I stand by the remark I made yesterady; the town had a fair number of drunks and child abusers 50 years ago. I am not saying everyone in the town is a scum bag, but the town easily turned a blind eye to horrible things going on in my childhood. It would not surprise me that people knew what was happening in that house, and ignored it.

I am sure you all have read something about the slave labor recently uncovered in parts of China. The truth of the matter is slave labor is the key factor in the success of Red China's economic growth. If the Government isn't forcing women and children to work for nothing, the Chinese military is toiling away for next to nothing. You read stories in the business news how wonderful the Chinese are doing and the financial miracle they have created. It doesn't take a Harvard business major to figure out that if you are producing consumer goods for almost zero, you can export those goods at a profit. Next time you are at Wall Mart shopping, think about why those goods are selling at such a low price. Here is a short news story about the present situation concerning slave labor practices in China.

Police in northern China say they have now arrested more than 160 people accused of involvement in slave labour in illegal mines and brick factories. The factories were run like prisons with guard dogs and beatings to prevent escapes.

It is thought that many more people are still being forced to work as slaves in appalling conditions, BBC Beijing correspondent Daniel Griffiths reports.

There has been unusually strong criticism in the state-run media with one paper calling the situation a shocking disgrace but the reality is that forced labour is common in rural parts of China.

I have today off. I went out to the gothic club I have been frequenting on rare occasions. It has lost it's appeal. I find the music repetitive. The people are not the crowd I would use as a resource to find friends of real value. At this point in my life, I think it best to focus on setting goals, and working to accomplish them. This is something I have been trying to do for the past couple years, but I haven't narrowed my focus, or been able to find that special something. This is becoming a serious issue that needs to be corrected. I want to buy a bass guitar. I have to stop feeling sorry for myself. I know life stinks, but I have to deal with it. I see other people band together in communities. In this setting, they find purpose and meaning that transcends to a personal level of peace. What ever I do, I must find some inner peace, or I will continue to spiritually rot. The club isn't providing anything spiritual, or creating sense of community. The only real satisfaction I see on the horizon is personal, and I have to create it. I have known this for longer than I care to admit. I have to snap out of this depression I seem to have fallen into. Physical exercise isn't just something I need to do to stay physically happy. I need it to re-ignite a spiritual spark that will sustain me for the rest of my life. I am afraid I am presently in a spiritual coma. I have been dead for a good many years. Looking back at past writings only proves this observation. This shit has to stop. I am not going to find it at work. Work is a disappointment, but I am not going to comment on it here in great detail. Complaining isn't going to alter the situation. No matter where you go in today's world, you are forced to deal with psychopaths. If my personal safety is threatened, or I am mentally abused, then a lawsuit might be a viable option to pursue in the future. Either way, I have to just keep my eyes open and my head down. I have done an excellent job considering I have had to learn everything I need to know on my own. The training has been nonexistent. This is all I can say for the moment. I will say this; bankruptcy is quickly becoming a serious option. If the law permits, I would be a fool not to take advantage of it at this juncture.

Today is Father's Day. A non event in my life since I never had a father. The only father figure I had was this drunk who lived in the house. His life was shit, and his only purpose in life was to make sure his children experienced the same. That sums up my childhood. I think I will head out and have a nice lunch at this Chinese Buffet right here in town. I can stuff my face for little money, and the food isn't bad. I really should clean my apartment. I am not a visionary. I state what I believe, right or wrong, and I stand by it. I do have insights honed from diligent research and contemplation. Anyone who exerts the effort will have the same results. There are people in this world who are visionaries. Often, they are dismissed as weird, disgruntled, paranoid, etc. The reasons people react this way was well stated by Ingo Swann in his book Penetration.

"Human beings do not function well unless a few realities are established, and thereafter produce some semblance of certainty. This creates an informational comfort zone. Any disruption of this zone is viewed with ultimate distaste. Spin doctors are keenly aware of this. Illusionary information can serve quite excellent purposes since in large part the masses tend to show little desire for other kinds of information."

So the point is this. Our very genetic makeup compels us to create a place in our own minds that we can deal with psychologically. Any disruption to this safe place is emotionally painful. Apparently, as a species we don't want to process any information that disrupts or questions the status quo of serenity. The downside is this. The world isn't a serene place. In order to make informed decisions, we have to process information that may upset our present outlook on the world and our place in it. Living a life of serenity is one thing. Plodding through life in a psychological stupor is another. I will not accept "spin" as gospel. Spin is manipulation. Manipulation is deception. Deception is evil.

One individual I regard as visonary is Ralp Bakshi. "The cliché is to describe Ralph Bakshi as the "bad boy" of animation. It's sort of deserved; for a about fifteen years he worked on television cartoon fare such as Deputy Dawg, The Mighty Heroes, Spider-Man, and Rocket Robin Hood. He exploded on the theatrical scene in 1972 with Fritz the Cat, based on the Robert Crumb underground comic. Bakshi was a bad boy indeed; Fritz the Cat deserved its X rating, as it featured sex, drugs, and an unflinching, satirical look at the experiences of an opportunistic, sex-obsessed college-dropout tomcat. His next two films, Heavy Traffic and Coonskin cemented his reputation as they offered a bleak (and farcical) look at the modern urban reality that animated feature films generally preferred to ignore. That he used images that many decried as racist (especially in Coonskin, which was about racial stereotypes) only added to his image as a controversial figure." In 1977 Ralp Bakshi wrote, directed, and produced the animated film Wizards. The story is an epic drama of a future society that emerges from a nuclear winter created when terrorists destroy the world. Two fraternal twin brothers are born. One is good and the other is evil. The evil brother discovers the secret of warfare when he stumbles across footage of WWII and Adolf Hitler's Nazi propaganda. He uses this knowledge to spread terror and to enslave the world. In the end, the good brother defeats the evil one. When Wizards was released on DVD in May of 2004, I listened to the special director's cut. Bakshi said that the theme of Wizards was this; the defeat of Fascism. Fascism is not something that was destroyed in WWII. Fascism is Evil eternal. All people everywhere must keep a constant vigil. If we don't, this evil will rise again. It has been 20 years since Ralp wrote this. That is why I consider him a visionary. Quite an interesting story behind this man, if you care to research him. I present comments he made during the interview with Emru Townsend:

Ralph Bakshi: That's right.

Emru Townsend: What scares you now?

Ralph Bakshi: You got an hour? What scares me now is the lack of morality in our nation, America, and the world. What scares me now is that there's been as much genocide in the past twenty years as there was in the Holocaust, and no one cares. What scares me now is everything is sort of done with a spin, and if the spin is right, the object, say the invasion of a country, is done. The lack of great novels, the lack of great speakers - they seem to be nonexistent, and fewer and fewer companies are owning everything. Which means that your press has been bypassed and subjugated. What scares me now is a religious fanaticism in all countries coming to the fore again. The killing under the name of God again has started in all kinds of different religions. It's now religiously correct to kill people if you are religious. And that is sweeping the entire globe.

Emru Townsend: So again the question comes. Why haven't we heard from you? I'm really curious. It doesn't necessarily have to be a film, but you were so good at expressing your outrage on celluloid.

Ralph Bakshi: But there's nothing to sell. No one wants to talk to me. No one wants to talk to me unless there's something to sell. In other words, if they've got a product in mind they'll listen to my bullshit, because the motion picture company that's paying Josh (20th Century Fox Home Entertainment's publicist - Josh Kushins) to sit here and listen to this is paying him because they want to sell DVDs. If they weren't trying to sell DVDs, who gives a shmuck what I say? They'd go on to the next person. It's all about economics. So if I have something to sell, they'll allow me this forum to rant and rave. It doesn't matter how much I rant and rave, as long as the object sells. I can say anything I want, because all I'm trying to do is sell this fucking object for these people. They take my bullshit because basically they want to sell something. That's what it's all about. If there's nothing to sell there's no reason to talk to me. I don't make any sense if there's nothing to sell [laughs] That's what the whole world's about. If there's something to sell, they'll talk to you.

I still remember watching an initial news report on the success of the American troops during the battle for Iraq. The Secretary of Defense, Head of Homeland Security, and others were besides themselves. Things had gone better than planned. They were basking in power and glory, foaming at the mouths. They had tasted blood, and they liked it. I thought to myself, "it is 1932 Germany all over again." I will repeat what I said in the beginning; I am not a visionary. Facts speak for themselves. Bakshi is correct. I am not saying that Bush is a Nazi. I am not saying his Administration is Fascist. I respect the President. I couldn't do his job. I believe he is working to protect our Nation. But, like a majority of other citizens, I don't agree with how he is doing it. The measures taken since September 11, 2001 have set a disastrous precedent. If we turn a blind eye to this because it doesn't set right with our feelings and makes us psychologically uncomfortable, we may wake up in a not so distant future unable to change an Orwellian nightmare. The Marty Reports concerning the CIA Rendition Program is just another example of what can happen if we continue to turn a blind eye to the errosion of personal liberty. The point of the Marty Reports go beyond the legality of CIA secret prisons, and the methods being used to interrogate detainees. Dick Marty is sharply critical of the so-called "war on terror" launched by US President George W. Bush after September 11, saying it was an excuse to attack personal freedoms. "The war on terror is a pretext to curb individual liberties. These (liberties) irritate those who are in power," Marty said.

I am not comfortable with this statement, but I agree with his conclusion. Be vigilant people.

The Rev. Al Sharpton denounced Paris Hilton's release from jail on Thursday, saying it had
"... all of the appearances of economic and racial favoritism. I think that it's both another glaring display of how race and money seem to get different treatments. There seems to be a different criminal justice system for some than others," Sharpton said.

My interests do not revolve around the rich and famous. But when opportunists like Al Sharpton raise their ugly heads, I'll comment. It is easy to kick people when they are down, and Paris Hilton is flat on her face. Not only is Al Sharpton a bigot, he is a coward. It is all about Big Green. Race has nothing to do with how people are treated in this country. With wealth comes privilege. I don't recall Sharpton criticizing Micheal Jackson, OJ Simpson, or any other Black NFL players who were in trouble with the law. These people have lots of money, and their legal problems vanished into thin air. It is my opinion that OJ Simpson received special treatment, and so did a number of high profile athletes. Race had nothing to do with it. If you got the cash, you go to the head of the line, period. I am not a fan of Paris Hilton. I think she is a crass, spoiled, rich bitch. She did wrong, and she has to be held accountable for it. It was no surprise that she was sprung after three days in the can. That is the way things are. Al Sharpton knows how the game is played. The old saying is, "You want to get wealthy? Build a better mouse trap." Seems like this woman has done exactly that! I like this story. After 15 years of celibacy, it appears she went ape shit and worked on creating the prototype for this vacuum powered dildo for hours. You have to admire her persistence and ingenuity.

A US mother-of-three has invented a sex toy that connects to a vacuum cleaner to give an orgasm in just ten seconds. The gadget, called Vortex Vibrations works by concentrating the air flow to create a rapid and gentle vibration, reports the Sun.

My computer was down for two weeks. I did miss not having it, but it wasn't a life altering experience. I had things I do need my machine to accomplish, but the universe didn't collapse. I feel fortunate it wasn't a major problem. I had a virus infect my virtual memory system, so the computer wouldn't boot up. Strange, but it makes sense. When I went into my e-mail program, I had 100's of shit/spam e-mail! That pisses me off, but I suppose that is the nature of the Beast. The Internet is a dirty girl who can't be totally trusted. One day she is serving your every whim, and the next day she is wearing a strap on dildo and she has mounted you from behind while you were sleeping.

General Vang Pao is in the news. It is a big deal here in Wisconsin. The truth be known, people here do not like the Hmong, period. I don't know why exactly, but it is a fact. We have had some very unpleasant circumstances occur these past couple years. Red necks here figured the Wisconsin Deer Hunting Season was an open invitation to shoot Hmong hunters on site. I have articles here somewhere if you want to read them. Just a few weeks ago, a new Middle School being built near Madison was going to be named after Vang Pao. There was a protest because people were saying Pao was a war criminal and a dope smuggler. I can't speak for what he did in Laos when he was leading covert Hmong forces with the blessings and the financial backing of the CIA. Stories are he shot his own men. He may have. If he did, I figure he did it because he had to discipline the troops. The Romans did the same thing. If you want to fight a war, you have to do things that in a normal, law abiding society are not acceptable. That is the way it is. If the General needed some cash to fight the Viet Cong, and he ran some dope out of Laos to get the funding, he probably did it. We all know the CIA was involved in drug smuggling during the Vietnam War. Hard to point fingers at Vang Pao and call him a drug smuggler when the people who were backing him were doing the same thing. I do not think it is acceptable to make Vang Pao a scapegoat for drug dealing during that fiasco. The Hmong army under General Vang Pao's command were brutal, efficient killers. That is what a soldier is supposed to be. I said this before. If you haven't got the balls to destroy the enemy with impunity, don't waste the time or the money. How many billions have we wasted in Iraq? That's what happens when you fight a politically correct war. You get your ass kicked and the troops are slaughtered. It's bullshit. And calling Vang Pao a war criminal and a dope dealer is also bullshit. The CIA left the Hmong stranded when the shit hit the fan because we were fighting a secret war in Laos and the Government did not want this information to go public. That is a fact. Vang Pao never concealed his intent to raise an army and go back to Laos and kick the Communists out of power so his people could return and live in the land of their ancestors in peace. He has maintained that objective since the day he came to the US. Now, the news media makes it sound like he is a terrorist. They say he was going to kill 1000's of people. If that is what it takes to get your homeland back from bastards that came in force, killing and raping innocent people, that is what you do. Come on people, let's pull our heads out the sand. War is a brutal sadistic endeavor. Vang Pao has the courage and the will to accomplish what has to be done. He promised the Hmong that someday he would raise an army and take back what belongs to them. The US could learn something from him.
