For The Record:
The US government gave up to $1.4bn in assistance to bogus victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita last year, congressional inspectors say. The Federal Emergency Management Agency was tricked into funding hundreds of fraudulent schemes, the report said. Money was spent on American football tickets, a holiday, a divorce lawyer and a sex change operation, it said. The agency has acknowledged mistakes, but says it has only found evidence of fraud worth $16m. (that's much better)
Debit cards handed out by Fema to people displaced by the storms bought diamond jewellery, champagne and erotic videos, the congressional audit discovered. Investigators also found hundreds of claims from false addresses and rental assistance paid to prisoners. A supposed victim who used a New Orleans cemetery for a home address and a person who spent 70 days at a Hawaiian hotel were among the claimants, the report said.

The US Supreme Court has ruled that death row inmates can file last-ditch challenges to lethal injections, the means of execution in most US states. The unanimous ruling came in the case of Clarence Hill.
Clarence Hill is a convicted murderer who was granted a stay of execution by Justice Anthony Kennedy of the United States Supreme Court on January 24, 2006. Mr. Hill was convicted of the murder of a Pensacola, Florida police officer in 1982 and was sentenced to death by lethal injection. As his execution was just moments away from commencing (he was strapped to a gurney with intravenous lines in his arms), it was stopped by a stay from the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Hill's lawyer, Todd Doss, had lobbied for the stay on the grounds that the chemicals involved in lethal injection violated Mr. Hill's Eighth Amendment rights, protecting against "cruel and unusual punishment."
I've said this before. A single shot to the back of the head will solve everyone's problems. This would provide a quick and painless death for scum like Clarence Hill who don't deserve to live a single day longer. It would solve the over crowding in our prison system. It would save millions of dollars that could be better spent. It would bring closure to coutless families whose lives have been destroyed by human waste who contribute nothing, and never will contribute anything to anyone. New statistics released today show that violent crime has risen dramatically in several major US cities, including Milwaukee, WI. One of the reasons given is that career criminals locked up in the late 1980's and early 1990's are being released. Isn't that special? Now, it will take years for the legal system to come to grips with how to humanely kill murderers and rapists. These bastards will sit around on Death Row stroking their wangs and little else. I haven't got anything else to say on the subject. I am totally disgusted. I was disgusted when they pulled the plug on the execution in January. Take a look at the link:

Here is another Wisconsin nut case story for the collection here on Time To Blog!
PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. - A ring found at a double murder scene has led to charges against two Horicon, Wis., teenagers who admitted breaking into the victims' rural Nebraska home with at least one other suspect, authorities said. Wayne Stock and his wife, Sharmon, were found slain in their farmhouse two miles west of Murdock on April 17. Both had been shot in the head at close range with a shotgun, investigators said.
The Cass County district attorney's office this week charged Jessica M. Reid, 17, and Gregory D. Fester II, 19, with two counts of murder and two counts of use of a firearm in connection with the murders.
On Tuesday, authorities searched Reid's bedroom at her residence in Horicon. Police say they found Reid's diary and that one entry recounts the murders of Wayne and Sharmon Stock. In the entry, authorities say Reid admits killing a person, writing, "I wish I could do it all the time . . . I loved it." A shell casing, which was consistent with the casings found at the Nebraska murder scene, was found in her room.

R. Kelly is back in the news. I think it is a crime that three years have gone by, and the matter about his having sex with a 14 year old girl hasn't been resolved. What is interesting to see is how far the law bends over backwards to protect the rights of the accused. I'm not saying the courts
should not protect the rights of those accused of crimes, but how far to they have to go? Is the distance bent over equivalent to the wealth of that person being accused? I'm starting to think it is. Interesting comments made by people who claim to have seen this tape for themselves.
CHICAGO, IL, United States (UPI) -- The girl taped having sex with singer R. Kelly was 14 years old, her best friend testified in a Chicago hearing to determine when the tape was made.
"It was the summer after eighth grade."
Kelly, 38, was charged three years ago with 14 counts of child pornography stemming from the tape. No trial date will be set until it is determined when the tape was shot and how old Kelly's partner was at the time.
Kelly watched without expression as the 21-year-old friend told the court she recognized the haircut her friend sported at age 14.
"It was kind of a mullet, short on the top, long in the back," she said.
Prosecutors narrowed the time during which the video was shot to 33 months -- between Jan. 1, 1988, and Nov. 1, 2000, but Kelly's attorneys argued the window was too wide to defend.
Judge Vincent Gaughan agreed and hinted he would dismiss the case if prosecutors could not narrow the time frame, the Sun-Times said.
I seen the tape and you can tell that she was a young girl trying to do
what he wanted. She was so young and didn't know what she was doing and
I feel sorry for her because she's gonna realize how gullible she was.

I saw the tape on the streets, some guys were playing it in the back of their van. I do not have a copy! On the tape you can clearly see that it is R Kelly. I think the tape is disgusting! He is a pig in my eyes. Every bad soldier eventually falls on their on sword. I hope this sword cuts off his penis!! I will never support his music and I never have. I believe that is was time for R Kelly to fall he has gotten away with this crap every since Aaliayh. However everything happens in divine order. If I believed someone falsely accused me of something this sensitive and serious I would have been on every talk show and radio station defending myself. However when you have no defense you can't defend your self. I hope he falls!!!! So many young girls are taken advantage of used and abused. The courts should make an example out of R Kelly to show the rest of our rich black or white men that think they are above the law and feel they can get away with such a hideous crime. May the Lord bless every young girls life and reputation R Kelly has ruined. Anyone that supports this pedophile is just as guilty as he.

I think that R. Kelly is wrong for what he has done, but you also have to think about the girl. Sparkle's niece should have known better to go to bed with a grown man evidently she wanted what she got. This isn't an one sided story she's not so innocent ok. R. Kelly is a very well respected songwriter/producer.I bet you anything it's one in every 100 men have messed around with a young girl. Girls these days look like older women, because of the way they carry themselves. Not saying that this young girl don't carry herself with respect, but she knew what she was doing. R. Kelly can't be the only older man she's had sex with. Readers don't let this child fool you. Most young girls like to experience older men for the first time they what to see what it feels like to have a older man inside them. That little girl probably was scared, because she was in front of a camera for the first time. You better think about it. Someone must have found out about she had slept with him that's why she did what she did by telling on him. She might be fooling Sparkle, and her family, but she sure isn't fooling me.

Zarqawi killed in US air raid
The trouble with killing cockroaches is that for every one you stomp, there are 100 hiding in the wood work.
One insideous roach seems to have suffaced in Iraq: The Ministry of Interior. Iraq is currently administered by the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA). The Ministry of Interior consists of two government institutions; the Police and the municipal branches. According to the woman writing The Blog
Baghad Burning, "There’s an ethnic cleansing in progress and it’s impossible to deny. People are being killed according to their ID card. Extremists on both sides are making life impossible. Some of them work for ‘Zarqawi’, and the others work for the Iraqi Ministry of Interior."
As long as one faction is killing the other, a replacement for Zarqawi is just a formality. Another blood thirsty maniac will surface, and surface quickly.
Life as we knew it is disintegrating all over the world. This is a dark moment in the history of human beings. Human dignity doesn't exist. It is only a concept that lingers in the minds of people who remember that at one point in their lives things were better. We are fortunate here in America. We still have freedom. But I fear these days will only be a memory in the not so distant future. I hope I am wrong.
More Chinese Government Censorship:
Chinese ban Da Vinci Code movie.
China has ordered cinemas to stop showing The Da Vinci Code, weeks after it was released in the country.
Wu Hehu, spokesman for Shanghai's United Cinema Line Corporation, said he received a notice to cease showing the film, but he did not know why the order was made. "I don't know the reason. We just do what we are told to do," he said. Speculation is the movie was proving too popular with China's Christian Community.

Had a nice little pop on my Powerball ticket. The quick pick option gave me 3 out of 5. That is worth $7.
I chose the power play option for an extra $1, and the power play number was 5. So, I got 7x5=$35. I'll take it!
I have been bad mouthing The Bush Administration. I just want to say this. I love the USA. I think Democracy and Capitalism are the greatest systems of government and finance the world will ever see. I am worried that soon, perhaps in my lifetime, the freedoms these systems have provided to all of us will be gone. I don't want to see that happen.
I know the Government has it's hands full. There are assholes everywhere hell bent on destroying our way of life. They have to be stopped. But as Senator Patrick Lehay (D-VT) said, "where does it end?" He was referring to the lengths the present administration has taken to protect the American public - namely this phone tapping program that recently became public knowledge. Speaking of which, the furor against it died quickly. You never hear a word about it on the national news. The fact that the man slated to head the CIA was in charge of the domestic survielence operation was just a news bleep. It was hot news for a day or two. Now it is business as usual in the war against terrorism. I have to realize that Camalot ended the day JFK was assassinated. This country has never been the same. Smell the roses today. Tomorrow doesn't look that bright. It just saddens me to see the way of life we so cherish disintegrating.

Here is a followup to my posting concerning the launch of Google's Chinese language version:
GREAT FIREWALL OF CHINA
The Chinese Government's internet filtering is some of the most sophisticated in the world.
Foreign websites covering politics and sensitive issues are blocked.
Chinese internet providers face strict censorship.
Websites, forums and blogs must officially register and are monitored.
China's internet 'police' thought to number 50,000 censors.
Internet users in major Chinese cities faced difficulties accessing Google's international site in the past week, Reporters Without Borders said. But Google.cn, the controversial Chinese language version launched in January, has not been affected.
I use Google. I like Google. It directs me to what I want to find regardless of my political views or religous beliefs. It is a shame that they screwed the Chinese Internet community by allowing the Government to have it's State run version. If it can happen in China, it can happen anywhere. That's the point! You think it won't happen here? You better think twice. It's possible. I just visited the Chinese Google site. I typed in
Falun Gong. This is what came up. George Orwell knew this would happen.
Here is the first page of Google's normal site for the search
Falun Gong.
You be the judge.

This is a really nice source for world news. Enjoy it. I bought Powerball tickets today. I'll let you know if I win once I get get reloctaed to me secured compound. I plan on buying a large estate in Northern Thailand and have a private army guard the property, the servants, and myself. Once that is settled, I would travel to exotic places and enjoy the company of beautiful women serving me and fulfilling my desires. Hey, if I'm going to fantasize, why hold back?

Watched The Apprentice last night. Trump had the audience salivating like a pack of wild dogs. He is a superb showman and manipulator. The final candidate deserved to get the job. Not only did he land the position, it looks like he found a soul mate too. The American Dream come true.
I am feeling confident that I can build an Organization. Lesser people than myself have created them. Why can't I do the same? It is a matter of will, and time. I have never been one to work like a dog day and night for years on end. But I am beginning to realize that's what it takes to get anything done. I will never climb out of this black hole of debt unless I can accumulate a substatial cash flow. Right now, my incoming cash is a trickle. This is unacceptable. On a sadder note:
Fifth Beatle Billy Preston Dead at age 59
The great singer-songwriter and performer Billy Preston, the real "Fifth Beatle" has died after a long illness as a result of malignant hypertension that resulted in kidney failure and other complications.
Billy was called the Fifth Beatle because he played keyboards on Let it Be, The White Album and Abbey Road. He also played on the Rolling Stones's hit song Miss You, and often played with Eric Clapton. He also did the organ work on Sly & the Family Stone's greatest hits. Preston's own hits included "Nothing from Nothing," "Will it Go Round in Circles," and "You Are So Beautiful," which Joe Cocker turned into an international hit.

Uncle Sam sent me an update on my Social Security status.
If I retire at age 62, I will be living in a cardboard box.
If I retire at age 65, I will be living in a shack.
If I retire at age 70, I will probably be dead so he won't have to pay me anything.
Badger 5 is $70,000 tonight. Would be nice to snag that. Powerball is accumulating nicely. Should be at $100 million by next weekend if no one gets lucky between now and then. Not much else happening. Trying to stay low key and positive. Bought myself a nice pair of sweat paints and a top to go with. I hate to run, but that is what I need to do to burn some fat off my aging carcass, and build my endurance back to an acceptable level.

Two-tier Internet System Can Push the Internet into a Dark Period:
Web inventor
Sir Tim Berners-Lee has recently said that the web should remain neutral and it should refuse to accept attempts to disintegrate it into different services. Further, he lashed out on recent attempts in the U.S. to attempt to charge for different ranks of online access web saying it is not a part of internet model.
He has raised apprehension that if the U.S. plans to go ahead with its two-tier internet, there are possibilities the network would enter a dark period. If the two-tier system would be implemented, people would only have full access to that part of the Internet they have paid for. In this system, some companies would be given more importance than others would.
Further, the companies like Microsoft and Google are advocating the concept of neutrality, and they are demanding to bring legislation which would guarantee net neutrality.
Here is a prime example of how this two tier system will affect users:
CertifiedEmail System.

From Iraq:
Maj Gen William Caldwell said reports that troops "executed" a family during a raid on a house in March and tried to cover it up were "absolutely false". Questions over the 11 deaths in Ishaqi come amid a Pentagon inquiry into a bigger alleged massacre in Haditha.
The US has announced extra training in moral and ethical values for troops.
I'm so happy. I can sleep tonight.
Yes, I'm being sarcastic. When is the Bush Adminstration going to realize you can only BS the American public so far? Sure, you made a mockery of our electorial system - twice. But that doesn't mean we don't realize it. You pulled the wool over our eyes temporarily about weapons of mass destruction (WMD) looming over us. You had us convinced for a short period of time that this war was about winning the hearts and minds of Iraqi citizens who longed for Democracy.
Enough is enough. You aren't fooling anyone. We might be economically enslaved, but that doesn't mean we are total idiots. The only thing being accomplished in Iraq is that hearts and minds on both sides of this conflict are being butchered. No training could prepare our fighting men and woman for the stress they are under. No wonder attrocities, and rumors of attrocities are surfacing. We aren't welcome in Iraq. The longer this occupation goes on, the deeper we are sinking in shame. If we aren't already, the USA is quickly becoming a laughing stock. Spying on every phone call made in the US? What kind of lesson in Democracy is that for the world to witness?
