I spoke about financial collaspe since 2006. I said we were circling the drain. I am surprised the USD hung on as long as it has. And here we stand on the evening of financial implosion. It doesn't matter if this sham debt ceiling legislation gets pushed through before August 2, 2011. It's over. It pains me to see this slow moving train wreck come to a hault. Here I sit with no job or a prospect of having one. We are all just a stone's throw from the gutter.

This is a first. I have not written anything in Time to Blog! for a very long time. I mentioned I had irons in the fire. I said I was going to lay low.
For once, I did exactly that. I haven't completely turned my back on what the media is trying to shove down my throat. I have been listening to podcasts. I have kept informed on the pending implosion of the US financial system, not to mention the global consequences. I haven't made any comments.
How many ways can you show examples that the shit is hitting the fan?
I had a breakthrough in my Powershell efforts. I finally did something with it. I used it as a tool. I am able to extract data and manipulate that data.
All the while I was concerned with how I was going to use Powershell; Active Directory, WMI, IIS etc. I finally figured out what it was I needed to learn first. I had to learn how to use the functionality and the discover ability of the help system. From there, you have a clearer path. I said I had to concentrate on the language. I have a copy of Bruce Payette's new book on Powershell - Powershell in Action 2nd Ed. (2010). The first edition of this book was the first Powershell book I tried to read. I couldn't get through. I put it aside and did what everyone else does. I copy and pasted code in the box. I did figure out something, but this is not a structured approach. I discovered the correct approach. This is what I needed. The correct approach is something I have lacked my entire life. I haven't been off on the R&D. It always came down to execution. I have said in the past those days were behind me. I haven't been 100% accurate on those statements.
Language is my love. The new edition of Powershell in Action is 1016 pages. All I have to do is take it.

I enjoyed my vacation time in June. Have some irons in the fire. Doing what I do best.
For now, I'm just going to be laying low.
