I am quickly losing curiosity with my morning ritual of watching Bloomberg news. It does not enrich my personal life to any significance. It's the same news, different days. The wealthy continue to flourish. The working class continues to slide deeper into debt and despair. The tidbits of world and national news is much the same also. Trump's mantra is, "you can do things the easy way, or the hard way." This sums up the present domestic and foreign agendas.
I have no choice. 2026 will be a lonely year but a productive one. I talk the talk. These boots are meant for walking.
Nothing to say. I should be grateful I am living in Dubuque, IA. We are off the radar. We exist here in the backwaters of the turmoil that grips such a large majority of the country and the national psyche. That doesn't mean that an extinction event hurdling towards me doesn't exist. I know it does but what the hell am I supposed to do about it? I refuse to break bread with the childish freaks who think they are engaging in peaceful protest. The protesters in Minneapolis need to grow up and start behaving like mature adults. That is the power of peaceful protest. Threatening others is not peaceful. Screaming obscenities at others is not peaceful. Lashing out at others is not peaceful. When you step onto the world stage you have a responsibility to be role model. I'm not seeing it in Minneapolis. I am appalled at the behavior of ICE agents. They are behaving like goons. They don't have the training. They don't have the maturity to deal with children acting out. In fact, we have a clash of two infantile groups of people. The sad truth is one of these groups is heavily armed. Is it really a stretch of the imagination that people are going to be murdered in the street?
I forgot to consider a third group of puerile individuals. They are in control of the levers of legal and political power. This group is unable to act as national leaders. Their qualifications to govern hinge on the quality of their as kissing of a sociopath who is a slave to the seven deadly sins. Donald J. Trump is a modern day reincarnation of Caligula.
Caligula (Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus) was the third Roman Emperor, ruling from 37 to 41 AD, infamous for his tyrannical, extravagant, and cruel behavior, which included claims of divinity, severe abuse of power, and lavish spending.

This isn't a question of what Trump wants. It's about a question of why the rule of law is being ignored. This is the bedrock of Democracy, the very foundation of the social and economic fabric that differs the United States from the rest of the scum walking upright that govern the human chattel called citizens. The question needs to be asked, "by whom?"

Never has it been more dire to focus on living each day enjoying the small pleasure that training my mind, body, and spirit will bring. I did my time.
When Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were out on the road promoting their "Fighting Oligarchy Tour", I flat out said this fight is going no where. Shortly after this campaign began, seven million people took to the streets in a peaceful protest against the President. This protest was promoted as the "No Kings" protest. Fast forward to the present and we are hip deep in a world of shit. The economy is not doing well despite the all out assault by the Trump Administration to convince us it is. According to Trump and his ass kissing entourage, the Democratic Party is trying to create a hoax that people cannot afford to pay their bills. The truth is America has entered a Golden Age of prosperity under the leadership of Donald J. Trump. We have begun a long and potentially catastrophic death spiral into a war that will engulf the entire Southern Hemisphere. The strike against Muduro and Venezuela was a spectacular success. This victory will only encourage similar actions against other nations in the region. The probability of failure in any one of these future military actions is real. I know that Jack Smith is still working to stop this madness, using all the legal tools he has at his disposal. There is a glimmer of hope that this insanity will come to an end. In the meantime, damage is being done and it may take decades to repair. If the people we elected to govern us are going to sit by and let Trump declare a New Monroe Doctrine named after himself, and turn a blind eye to the deep and troubling psychosis that is plain as the nose on the President's face, their is no hope. The drums of fascism beat loudly and the lines of goose stepping Nazis parade before us. No one is stopping it. Tyranny is being promoted as patriotism. This is the great danger.

Two minutes later he is telling us that World War III has started and the only person who can stop it is his royal highness and Fearless Leader, Donald J. Trump.
I have given my priorities a great deal of thought. Turning the world off is at the top of the list. I have done it before. I am still chained to the WWW but it has been shoved up my ass so I don't feel like I have a choice to completely eliminate it from my life. I need to tread lightly. There are courses to take and knowledge to absorb. I have stories to write and sharing them with the world via the Internet is not a bad thing.
