Man pulled into van robbed, police say

Here is another beautiful human being that Bernie Sanders can educate. As much as I can not stomach the thought of a neo-Nazi like Trump running the country, it would be better than this naive pinko Sanders. Trump would keep order. This is the current state of affairs in the USA today. I know that I have to hit the gym and start training again. What ever the elections in November bring us, this much is certain; the shit is going to hit the fan. The scum of the Earth have no respect or love for an old man like me. I have no choice but to defend my life, liberty and my personal belongings. This incident in Madison, WI. is just the tip of the iceberg.

There is no way in hell I can bring myself to vote for Bernie Sanders. The man views the world through rose colored glasses. A person like this is harmless as long as they remain a private citizen. We can ill afford to elect someone President of the United States having a naive view of the world, ever.

Bernie Sanders
Calls U.S. Prison Numbers An International Embarrassment

There are reasons people are sitting in jail. They do not need more education. Sanders doesn't know or fails to mention the educational opportunities the prison system offers. Inmates can earn high school diplomas, college degrees, Masters diplomas and even doctorate degrees; for free. Prisoners are well fed. They receive excellent medical care. The only "International Embarrassment" here is how far the tax payers in this country bend over backwards to help rehabilitate criminal scum like Steven Pratt.

This is my last post on the coming financial Armageddon. You may or may not remember Alan Grayson. He went to bat for the American people during the TARP bailout.

Excellent article on where the money went.
The Fed Bailouts: Money for Nothing

It gets better.
2008 TARP bailout actually $23 Trillion - not $700 billion

What can we expect to see happening next? We may see another round of Quantitative easing. Before this happens, it is probable we will see a zero interest rate policy (ZIRP) to "combat deflation and promote economic recovery." I believe when these measures fail, we will possibly see another TARP style bailout. The can will be kicked down the road. Once the can has been kicked into dust, my ass will be next. I don't want this to happen. I am afraid it is inevitable.

*Note*
The question of where did all of the trillions of dollars go, and to whom, has never been fully answered. The figures in the article -- The Fed Bailouts: Money for Nothing -- does an excellent job of trying to track it down.

I watched the movie The Big Short yesterday. I could not help but feel personal sorrow when the part about the two dudes who started their $30 million hedge fund in a garage with $150,000 get shut out of the credit default swap market because they were not big enough players to participate. Having the drive and the knowledge wasn't good enough to ensure their success, even if they deserved it. Luckily for them, they had a friend with clout who stepped in and made it happen for them. Without this help, they were out in the cold.

I am not in their league. I do have this in common with them. I have the knowledge to see the coming financial Armageddon, but I won't make a profit from it. That may sound cold, but this is the world we live in. Those who profit from "the markets" do so at the suffering of others. People are dying because of the present financial fiasco we are currently in. More people are going to die -- a lot more.

Toxic Loans Around the World Weigh on Global Growth

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Here is part of a post I did on June 3, 2006:

Web inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee has recently said that the web should remain neutral and it should refuse to accept attempts to disintegrate it into different services. Further, he lashed out on recent attempts in the U.S. to attempt to charge for different ranks of online access web saying it is not a part of internet model.

"Net Neutrality" has been big news lately if you are into keeping tabs on what the hot Internet news is. It isn't new. The state of the US economy and the global economy being in tatters is not new. Nothing under the sun is new, nothing. Life just keeps repeating itself. The global economy has been circling the drain since 2006. It hasn't gotten better. The United States went into a depression in 2008 and we never climbed out of it. We are still in a death spiral and we aren't going to pull out of it. This is cold, unabashed economic reality staring us in the face. You don't need a doctorate in economics to see this.

You think the news you are hearing on the TV is new?
Read the story here on the BBC web site: Saturday, 20 January 2007. Hillary in 2008 Race This article -- Can Hillary Clinton win in 2008?

They realise she has serious problems - we are going to get a regurgitation of all those past scandals and controversies with new wrinkles and information ... her personality does her no favours. People just don't warm up to her, including a lot of Democrats - they don't dislike her, but they don't feel warmly towards her at all ..."

It just the same old shit repackaged day after day after day.

This is the last straw on my beating a dead horse. Read this article from 2007. Stock Market Bloodbath
If Alan Greenspan's cheap money which was pumped into the global economy via low interest rates responsible, in part, for the economic collapse starting in 2008, what was QE1, QE2, and QE3 all about? The preceding article smacks of conspiracy and New World Order rhetoric, but the fundamental arguments are sound. What's different now Tuesday February 9, 2016?

*Note*
Former Goldman Trader Fabrice Tourre was mentioned at the end of the film, The Big Short, as the only trader prosecuted for frauding investors during the sub-prime mortgage orgy.

Watch Martin Shkreli Take the Fifth and Laugh at Congress.

As much as I like seeing someone take a stand against the crushing power of the US Government, Martin Shkreli is an ass hole. He is laughing all the way to the bank with blood on his hands. He is such an arrogant prick, he doesn't even wash it off before he makes the deposits. Bathing in human blood is a badge of honor to this parasite. He is just as bad as the people he is mocking. They say he is a bright guy. I don't see it.

Editorial: Something smells in the Democratic Party
The Des Moines Register
February 5, 2016

Good piece on the caucus debacle here in Iowa. I read that Hillary won several coin tosses that decided the outcome of delegates assigned. "Yes, Hillary was lucky in Iowa. She won six tosses in a row." This does stink if this report is true. It sounds more like a joke to me. The Democratic Party is not running a campaign. They are holding a coronation.

Questions on Speeches to Goldman Sachs Vex Hillary Clinton

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton spent a lot of time attacking Wall Street and "big banks" in Wednesday's CNN town hall in New Hampshire, but one answer left the audience cold.

Asked about the three speeches she gave to Goldman Sachs, the multinational investment firm often singled out for attacks by progressives, for which Clinton was paid $675,000, and whether she had to take that much from them, Clinton glibly responded, "That's what they offered."

Once again the true character of Hillary Clinton raises it's ugly head. She isn't doing anything wrong. She is doing exactly what everyone else before her has done. That makes it OK. Same goes for her private email server. According to Hillary Clinton, she hasn't done anything different from anyone that has proceeded her. The only difference is people are getting tired of the hypocrisy. The privileged elite have always flaunted their wealth and power. As members of the lower class, we tolerated it because we were living at an acceptable standard of living. The disparity of wealth is now so glaringly out of perspective, and the blatant disregard of the law by the privileged is more than the common man in the street will accept. If anything comes out of the suffering we have all endured with this "smash and grab" con job that began in 2008, it may be this. I doubt it. People are afraid and they are docile. The idea of a living wage has become the status quo. Welcome to the New World Order.

Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of leaders and millions have been killed because of this obedience. Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves and the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem. -----Howard Zinn.

Howard Zinn was an American historian, playwright, and social activist. He was a political science professor at Boston University. Zinn wrote more than twenty books, including his best-selling and influential A People's History of the United States.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has won the Iowa Republican caucuses, a huge victory for him and a bitter defeat for Donald Trump in the country's first presidential contest. Skipping the last debate in Iowa may have been perceived as a snub to Iowa voters. What ever the reasons may be, God Bless Iowa for having the common sense to not support Donald Trump. I've lived in Dubuque since October 2014. People living in Iowa recognize a pile of manure when they see one.
