My story is coming to an end. Your story is just beginning.
There will be two groups of people in the near future. One group will have a thinking, breathing mind. The other group will have a radish for a brain.
The thinking group will know how to program computers, most likely using the Python programming language. They will have knowledge of mathematics, the true science of American ingenuity. They will have discipline. They will be the kind of person that others look to for leadership. They will work with the Great Machine as equals, if possible. The other group will have a name and a social security number.
It is not possible to learn all the tools, libraries, and modules that Python uses all at one time. It depending on what area you decide to focus on.
There are some core tools that all of the disciplines use. Learning the Python programming languge and using a few particular tools as you proceed is an essential part of the learning curve.
Focus on these as you teach yourself how to program with Python;
Jupyter Notebooks & Visual Studio Code.
Focus on working on learning Python programming and using it to crunch numbers;
NumPy & Pandas.
I have a resource page that has books and video courses to help you learn. The link is on the Table of Contents page, (The Machine).
The page has links to any area of Information Technology that you may wish to understand.
I made an effort to include materials from the early days of computer science. The way computers were programmed in the 1960's is no different than the way computers are programmed today. The old computers running on vacuum tubes and magnetic tape have the same architecture as the laptop sitting on your table.
How instructions are sent hasn't changed.
I include these old school manuals because I am hell bent against this "bright and shiny" crap being peddled and sold as cutting edge technology.
If you read them, you will understand. Those who do understand are the real wizards of computer science.
Download the Navy Mathematics material. It is a three volume course. It is pure gold.
The Python book Learn Python the right way. How to think like a computer scientist.
Is highly recommended.
In the movie The Godfather, Vito Corleone tells Santino (Sonny),
"What the hell is the matter with you?
Don't ever tell anyone outside of the family what you really think!"
Good advice.
I still believe.
