I'd like to wrap this month off with commentary from an individual far more intelligent than myself. Professor Jeffrey Sachs has the experience, the mind set, and the maturity to speak on issues presently of great concern. These issues are being ignored by Donald J. Trump and others in positions of authority that could actually do something about them. If they are acknowledged, they are being marginalized. His approach to dire circumstances in Palestine and Ukraine is a far cry from the temper tantrums being thrown by top echelon members of the Trump Administration whenever they are asked for comment regarding these atrocities.
Jeffrey Sachs' Dire Israel Warning: Most Dangerous Moment Since WWII
This is also something worth considering. The hypocrisy of crucifying former President Joe Biden over his cognitive decline is a pitiful example of the childish behavior of the entire lot in the Trump Administration. It is clear that loyalty to Donald Trump supersedes allegiance to the United States of America and the Constitution this great nation is anchored. Hiding the physical and the mental decline of the Commander in Chief is not the function of patriotism. It is irresponsible. It is failure to act with courage and responsibility. It is a betrayal of the citizens of this country. The same criticism goes to the people who tried to hide Biden's decline.
The fish stinks from the head down
The inability of Trump to tell the truth was an issue long before he was reelected in 2024. His business failures are well documented. Is it such a stretch of the imagination to accept that Trump is not the great man he claims to be? His accomplishments are nothing but lies at best and delusions at worst. The latter should send chills down your spine. Is it no wonder that this country is on the brink of economic uncertainty? The billions of tariff revenues Trump says are pouring into this country may be, in reality, nothing more than bold faced lies. There is no money anywhere that can be accounted for at the present time. There are no legally binding documents or agreements from counties that we are being told are investing trillions of USD in American manufacturing or technology related industry.
Time to take the advice of Dr. Timothy Leary,
"Turn on, tune in, drop out".
Cryogenics was a hot topic back in his era. I like his comment on being frozen and brought back to life at a later time,
"I've left specific instructions that I do not want to be brought back during a Republican administration."
Leary doesn't get the credit he deserves. He is remembered as a drug addled hippy. He had vision.
August was a good month. I turned 70. Nothing changed; a good thing. Personally, I am in a good place. Staying here is going to be an exercise of Will. Bring it.
