There is an old expression, "don't bite the hand that feeds you." I will take it to heart and hold my tongue, for now. I am not going to write about the reasoning behind my final decision to leave the table games pit and ask for a transfer to Surveillance. I am glad I did and it is the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. I am not accustomed to treating myself right. I am learning. You can teach an old dog new tricks.

I am sitting here at the library. It might be possible to set my tablet up to FTP Time to Blog! to my server for posting, but the tablet really isn't the machine to do the job. A laptop is and this tablet I have is a social media contraption. I have the interface set up to work like a laptop. I can do everything on it I can do with this this laptop I have sitting in front of me except update this blog. I can't really do any lifting as far as programming goes, but I am not doing that anyway so it is all good.

Now that I am away from the constant onslaught of verbal abuse, I am starting to relax. I can focus on my music, writting, sports handicapping. I am creating a life for myself. Working the table games was preventing me from this. My mind was taking a beating and I have put a stop to it. I am doing things right for once. I have to keep moving forward.

The tablet has arrived and I have it set up to rock and roll. I see that this unit is not a laptop what ever hype you may read about how you are stepping up your game using it. This tablet is a social media machine. There is no internal storage capacity. All you documents, photos, and what ever video or mp3 files you watch or listen to are stored "in the cloud." Your files are set up to share with all your friends in this manner. You aren't going to use a tablet to code. You will have to use a laptop or a tower set up to do any serious programming. I won't be doing that anyway at this point anyway.

Updating my blog is also going to done using my laptop. I can still type it up and polish it for publication at home off line using my Linux machines. I will edit the post with Geany like I have in the past. When it comes time to send it to the WWW, I will have to take my laptop to a Wi-Fi area and send it. The library will work. I am a 100 steps away from my apartment to my little work station here at the library, so it will work. While I am here, I can always log into some of my accounts and see what is going on. It is all good.

The tablet accomplishes what I wanted to achieve. It allows me access to the Internet 24/7. The connection is fast. I can gather my MLB information and make an informed decision on what bets I will make. I can read the news. I can access all of my online accounts and make the required monthly payments to stay in the good graces of the powers that control the comforts of living; water bill, electric bill, rent, Verizon, etc. I start my new job Friday April 22 so I will have an income coming in to pay for all these goodies. I am fortunate. Being fully employed is a mixed blessing.

I have entered the mobile/ smart phone space. It was only a matter of time. I have opened a cell phone account with Verizon and have a nice tablet coming. I learned that the tablet sucks the Wi-Fi in by itself. The cell phone doesn't transfer the Internet connection. You need the phone contract to get the Wi-Fi set up to power the tablet. I need to access the WWW from home, so this is the way I have to go. It is going to cost bucks! This is the cost of doing business. I will just have to continue working and enjoy the things that money can buy.

I put in for a transfer to work in Surveillance. If I have to work, I need to get away from the shit heads playing the table games. I am taking a huge pay-cut, but I am OK with it. I will handicap MLB this summer. I will handicap games all year round. I will create an income doing it. Others have done it and they aren't any smarter than I am. It is a matter of discipline. I have this. The tentative date for my transfer is April 22. It is also time to get serious about my music. I have been living without any real passion for way too long. My life is good. I have to accept this and feel comfortable in this new life. The last leg of this journey through life can be rewarding. I need this. I am working hard on making it happen.

Sitting here at the library using the free access to the Internet. It works. I really need to get my phone/tablet jacked system in place. I need to get a phone plan set up with unlimited data. The MLB season opens today. I have to work this angle. There is a ton on money to be made handicapping MLB games. If I am to walk away from the casino business and not look back, I have to gain expertise in handicapping sports games all year round. I know I can make this happen.

I am all in on Cardano (ADA). I am in for money I don't even own that I am renting. This is a fancy way of saying I took out a personal loan at loan shark rates to buy a shit load of ADA. At this stage in my life, I have nothing to lose. ADA is in a position to dominate the present blockchain projects and the coming bull run in cryptocurrency. I have always based my conclusions on crypto based on the computer science behind the projects. ADA is solid. They are creating a platform that will service billions of people in the future. I just hope that $4.10 ADA is not slated for the distant future. I need to see that price soon. The sooner this happens, the sooner I can take control of my life. I still believe I can finish out the last shoe on my own terms. For me, this is the American Dream. It isn't about money. Unfortunately, I need a lot of money to make this happen. I don't need it to make me happy per se.

Not keeping up on posting any new material. It's all good. I am getting the Stonne Machine oiled and ready to produce. Will update soon on all the details.
